CSC Path Editorial

Editorial and corrections policy

Scholarship rules affect real applications and real money. This page explains how CSC Path checks information, how we label uncertainty, and what we do when a source or deadline changes.

Published and last updated July 30, 2026.

Source hierarchy

We prefer primary sources: the official CSC or Campus China portal, Chinese government and embassy notices, university international-student offices, admissions systems, and published program documents. We use reputable secondary sources only when an official source does not publish the detail, and we identify estimates as estimates.

  • Exact dates and fees must be tied to a named cycle or current official notice.
  • Typical windows are labelled as typical and never presented as confirmed deadlines.
  • Acceptance-rate estimates are not described as official CSC statistics.
  • Conflicting sources are resolved in favour of the newest relevant primary source.

Review and corrections

Articles and university pages show a last-updated or verification date. High-risk items, including deadlines, fees, agency numbers, eligibility, document legalization, and visa rules, are checked again when a new application cycle opens. Older cycle data stays visible only when it is clearly identified as historical or a planning estimate.

If you find an error, email info@cscpath.com with the page URL and a supporting official source. We investigate substantive corrections promptly and update the page date when the content materially changes.

Independence and commercial services

CSC Path is independent. It is not affiliated with the China Scholarship Council, a university, an embassy, or a government body. The official CSC application is free. Revenue from optional application services pays for consulting work; it does not buy a scholarship, and no service can guarantee selection.

Free editorial guidance is not altered to make a paid package look necessary. Readers can use the complete guide and templates without buying anything. Service pricing, scope, installments, and refunds are published on the application service page.

AI tools, images, and testimonials

Automation and AI tools may assist with research organization, drafting, formatting, link checks, and image creation. They are not accepted as factual sources. Scholarship facts must still be checked against the source hierarchy above. Generated site images are decorative campus-life illustrations; the people shown are not represented as clients, scholarship winners, or real application outcomes.

Testimonials are published only from genuine feedback used with permission. Any future testimonial must accurately state whether it concerns paid consulting, free advice, a tool, a template, or university data. We do not publish placeholder, invented, or AI-written customer quotes.
