CSC scholarship guides by country
The core CSC application is the same everywhere, but the route to it is not. Some countries nominate through a government body with its own portal, tests and quotas; others apply directly to universities. Document attestation chains, embassy involvement and deadlines all differ by passport. Each guide below covers the exact rules for one country, checked against official sources.
Your country is not listed?
The direct Type B route works from almost every country: you apply straight to Chinese universities on campuschina.org with the university's agency number, no embassy nomination needed. Start with the CSC overview for how the scholarship works, then follow the step-by-step application guide. To check whether the bilateral Type A route exists for your country, ask the Chinese embassy in your capital, or take the five-minute eligibility check. For the current cycle's dates and changes, see the CSC scholarship 2027-2028 page.
