Comprehensive medical insurance is also listed as a covered item of the High-Level Postgraduate Program award.
Entry requirements
Language: For Chinese-taught programmes applicants must reach HSK Level 5 with 180 points or above on a test taken within the previous two years. Applicants who already hold a Chinese-taught degree from a Chinese university are exempt from the HSK requirement. Applicants holding only HSK Level 3 or 4 must apply for one year of Chinese language preparation and pass HSK Level 5 (180+) at the end of it. For English-taught programmes the university requires IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 90 or Duolingo 105, with GRE recommended if available.. Age: Master's applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and be under 35; doctoral applicants must hold a master's degree and be under 40.
For the 2026/2027 intake, Beihang's own Chinese Government Scholarship "High-Level Postgraduate Program" notice (2026年北京航空航天大学-中国政府奖学金"高水平研究生"项目) opened applications on 1 November 2025 and closed them in three batches: batch one on 10 December 2025, batch two on 10 January 2026 and batch three on 28 February 2026 — all now closed. The same notice sets the start of study at September 2026, with master's programmes running 2-3 years and doctoral programmes 4 years. For the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship the university's 2026 application measures give student deadlines of 15 April 2026 for July entry, 15 May 2026 for September entry, 15 September 2026 for December entry and 31 October 2026 for March 2027 entry, all Beijing time. The separate Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students and Beihang's own foreign-student scholarships are applied for annually by academic year through the International School scholarship office; its published application notice for the 2026 academic year opened on 12 June 2026 for incoming postgraduate students and on 23 June 2026 for self-funded students already in residence, the incoming postgraduate application deadline was 17 June 2026 at 16:00 Beijing time, and the existing-student deadline was 27 June 2026. Both are closed. These dates apply to the two named 2026 scholarship notices. Type A bilateral Chinese Government Scholarship applicants apply through the Chinese embassy or consulate in their home country, where the deadline is set per country, not by Beihang.

CSC High-Level Postgraduate Program; full-time master's and doctoral study
Submit applications and documents in both Beihang and CSC; use Type B and 10006. Obtain supervisor acceptance in advance and keep the major consistent with the supervisor's field in both systems. Upload the fee remittance receipt with the documents. The cited FAQ lists CNY 400 or USD 70, nonrefundable, and requires online submission rather than mailed papers. Resubmit CSC after any withdrawal and correction. The 2026 batch deadlines are closed.

Check Beihang University's current prospectus for your degree, teaching language, eligibility and deadline. Arrange supervisor contact or pre-admission first when the program requires it.
Use the checklist below, then compare it with your program's required documents. Prepare any signed forms, translations and referee submissions before starting the final application.

Follow the portal order in the Type B notice
If it asks for the CSC form in the university system, finish CSC first and upload that form. If it asks for university admission or recommendation first, complete that stage before CSC. Where both systems are required, submit to both; use a CSC-only process only when the official notice explicitly specifies it.
Use the university and CSC instructions below in the order specified by your program. Keep names, degree, major and teaching language consistent across the forms. Check submission status in every required system.
Check your portal and email for missing-document requests, interviews and results. If a form is returned, correct it and resubmit. Keep admission and scholarship decisions separate; follow the final offer for acceptance, registration and original-document checks.
Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:
Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.
Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.
Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.
Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.
University agency number on record: 10006. For Type B, match it to Beihang University in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
The links below support the dates, route sequence, and program details shown above. Some are planning references rather than a current university deadline; each item on the admissions calendar states its source and evidence basis.
