Application timing and source scope

Beijing Institute of Technology's 2026 International Students Graduate Programs notice, published on the Office of International Students site, sets three dated 2026 application rounds: the first scholarship round ran from 15 October 2025 to 15 February 2026, the second scholarship round from 16 February 2026 to 15 April 2026, and the self-funded application window from 15 October 2025 to 15 June 2026. All three have closed. The same notice gives 1 May 2026 as the application deadline for the Beijing Government Scholarship (Beijing campus only), for the Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship (Zhuhai campus only) and for BIT's own International Student Scholarship. The Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship page on the same site states that applications are accepted from 1 January to 30 June, that the deadline may change from year to year, that applicants should check the yearly admission book, and that the final scholarship list is published at the beginning of July. The Chinese Government Scholarship Type B university program, which covers the High Level Graduate Program and the Silk Road Program, is applied for through the CSC Study in China system and then through BIT's own application portal; the notice publishes the institution code but no separate CSC closing date beyond the two scholarship rounds above. Separately, the reviewed official indexed full text of BIT’s 2026 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship guidelines includes March 2027 one-semester entry; the direct page was unavailable in this review. Registration opens March 1, 2026; the March 2027 block gives October 31 for applicants and November 10 for institution review without repeating a year beside those cutoffs. This language-award route uses both cis.chinese.cn and BIT’s portal. The English FAQ instead prints March 2026; the dedicated guidelines explicitly say March 2027. Confirm the cutoff timestamp and current portal acceptance. This is not a 2027 degree/CSC call.

  1. 1

    Choose your program and intake

Check Beijing Institute of Technology's current prospectus for your degree, teaching language, eligibility and deadline. Arrange supervisor contact or pre-admission first when the program requires it.

    Read official admission instructions
  2. 2

    Prepare your documents

Use the checklist below, then compare it with your program's required documents. Prepare any signed forms, translations and referee submissions before starting the final application.

  3. 3

    Complete the CSC application

Use the application type, agency number, degree level, and submission order stated in the current call. A university-hosted place may use Type B; an embassy-nominated place may use Type A. Do not select a route or reuse a prior-cycle code unless the current notice confirms it.

    Open CSC portal
  4. 4

    Complete the university application

Use the official application link and complete the fields required for your route. Submit documents only through the channel and at the stage stated in the current notice. Pay a charge only when instructed; retain any submission confirmation the system provides.

  5. 5

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10007. For Type B, match it to Beijing Institute of Technology in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
