Application fee

CNY 800 (master's, doctoral and advanced-study applicants); CNY 450 (Chinese-language trainees, Chinese-language undergraduates, degree undergraduates, foundation students and short-term students) Exact wording in the live 2026 autumn prospectus, 首都师范大学2026学年秋季学期招生简章 (published 2026-03-04 on cie.cnu.edu.cn), section 六、收费标准: the fee is called 报名费 (registration/application fee) and is published as a separate column from 学费 (tuition) for every category, in 元/人/学期. The 报名费 column reads 450元 against the 汉语进修生 block (and, under the same merged cell, 汉语强化班, 自费预科生, 汉语本科生 and 入系本科生), and 800元 against the 硕士生 / 博士生 / 高级进修生 block; short-term students pay 450元 for up to four weeks. Section 四、申请流程 item 2 states the fee is paid online after the application passes review and is never refunded: '审核通过后,学生可在线支付报名费,报名费一经缴纳不予退还'. The recorded amount of 800 CNY therefore applies only to the degree levels this profile serves (master's, doctoral, advanced study); all other applicants pay 450 CNY. TUITION IS NOT THE APPLICATION FEE and must not be substituted for it: the same table publishes tuition per semester of 11,800元 (Chinese-language undergraduate), 11,800–14,500元 (degree undergraduate, by stream), 13,800–17,500元 (master's, by stream) and 15,800–20,500元 (doctoral/advanced), and a one-off 报名费 is never an annual tuition charge. The university's standing 收费标准 page (https://cie.cnu.edu.cn/lhlx/rxsq/sqxz/19815cd6708b469092f3d28488cad0c9.htm, published 2021-04-01, HTTP 200) additionally notes for accommodation, not the application fee: '备注:学期中途转学或退学,宿费将无法退还。'

Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

2026 intake, read live on 15 September 2026 from the International Culture College notice feed at cie.cnu.edu.cn/lhlx/tzgg1/ (HTTP 200), whose newest item is dated 2026-04-30. Every window recorded in the profile is still the current published one and every one has closed. Self-funded autumn 2026 admission (首都师范大学2026学年秋季学期招生简章, published 2026-03-04, source of this entry) closes on 30 June 2026: '五、报名截止日期:2026年6月30日'. The 2026 Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students (2026学年首都师范大学北京来华留学生政府奖学金申请指南, published 2026-04-16) closes on the same date: '(二)截止日期 2026年6月30日'. The 2026-2027 Silk Road Chinese Government Scholarship programme (published 2026-04-30) closed on 15 May 2026, early if places filled: '六、申请截止日期:2026年5月15日(招满提前截止)', with the university's recommendation list to the CSC by 5 June 2026 and offer letters/JW201 forms by the end of July 2026. One published window is MISSING from the recorded entry and should be added: the 2026-2027 Chinese Government Scholarship High Level Postgraduate Programme, Type B (2026-2027学年中国政府奖学金高水平研究生项目申请指南, published 2025-11-07), closed on 1 March 2026 — '五、申请截止日期:2026年3月1日,招满提前截止。' No newer intake notice exists: the newest item on the feed is the 2026-04-30 Silk Road guide, and no 2027/2028 or 2027 spring notice had been published as of 15 September 2026 (for comparison, the 2026 spring-semester prospectus was not posted until 2025-09-22, so a 2027 spring prospectus is not yet due). A future closing date alone would not prove an open window in any case, and none is published, so nothing at CNU is open to application today.

Recorded CSC agency number; confirm it in the current CSC call: 10028

Guide scope reviewed 3 October 2026. Dates apply only to the intake and route named in each notice.

Read the university's procedure
  1. 1

    Choose your program and intake

Check Capital Normal University's current prospectus for your degree, teaching language, eligibility and deadline. Arrange supervisor contact or pre-admission first when the program requires it.

    Read official admission instructions
  2. 2

    Prepare your documents

Use the checklist below, then compare it with your program's required documents. Prepare any signed forms, translations and referee submissions before starting the final application.

  3. 3

    Complete the university application

Use the official application link and complete the fields required for your route. Submit documents only through the channel and at the stage stated in the current notice. Pay a charge only when instructed; retain any submission confirmation the system provides.

  4. 4

    Review your offer and costs

Check tuition, accommodation, insurance, payment deadlines and any financial-guarantee requirement. Accept the offer through the university's stated process. A CSC application is not part of a purely self-funded route.

  5. 5

Track decisions and respond to requests

Check your portal and email for missing-document requests, interviews and results. If a form is returned, correct it and resubmit. Keep admission and scholarship decisions separate; follow the final offer for acceptance, registration and original-document checks.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

Application templates
How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10028. For Type B, match it to Capital Normal University in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
