Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

China University of Petroleum (East China) (中国石油大学(华东), UPC) has a reviewed standing admission-time table; this does not establish whether other cycle-specific notices exist. Its 申请时间 (Application Time) page gives the standing autumn admission and spring language/foundation windows as (the FAQ limits spring to language and foundation study): 秋季学期 (autumn semester) beginning September and running to December, with applications opening 15 March and closing 31 May of the same listed year as autumn entry; and 春季学期 (spring semester) beginning March and running to July, with applications opening 15 October and closing 31 December of the preceding year. These are standing seasonal rules, not dated 2027 intake windows. The page does not establish exact 2027 opening and closing dates or prove that an application system is currently accepting applicants. The same page publishes a separate seasonal scholarship table, and the scholarship windows are NOT the same as the admission windows: 国际中文教师奖学金 (International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship) for 四周研修生 entering July runs 1 January to 10 April; for 一学期研修生 entering September, 1 January to 10 May; and for 一学年研修生 and the 汉语国际教育 master's, and for 四周研修生 entering December, 10 April to 10 September, with 一学期研修生 entering the following March running 10 September to 31 October; and 学校奖 (the UPC Scholarship) for degree students entering the following September runs 15 March to 15 May. The listed day/month cutoffs must be read with the programme and entry month. A current dated call is needed to confirm availability for each route. The scholarship dates conflict across official university pages and should not be treated as one confirmed schedule: the standing Application Time table gives UPC Scholarship dates of 15 March-15 May, while the Chinese scholarship page says annually 15 March-31 May and warns that popular majors may close early. For the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship, the standing Application Time table lists 10 April, 10 May and 10 September cut-offs for July, September and December entry respectively, while the Chinese scholarship pages list 15 April, 15 May and 15 September; both list 31 October for following-March entry. No cycle-specific 2027 notice resolving these conflicts was established in the recorded review. The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship page publishes its own closing dates by entry month — 15 April for July entry, 15 May for September entry, 15 September for December entry and 31 October for the following March entry — with recommender and host-institution review deadlines ten days later. The 中国政府奖学金 page is a one-off excellence award for students ALREADY enrolled in year two or above at a Chinese Government Scholarship institution and states 申请时间:以基金委当年下发通知为准 (the application time is per that year's CSC notice), so it carries no first-year admission deadline. No 2027-intake or first-year scholarship call resolving these standing-date conflicts was found in the admissions pages reviewed on 23 September 2026.

Guide scope reviewed 3 October 2026. Dates apply only to the intake and route named in each notice.

General international admission

Register at admission.upc.edu.cn, complete the online form and submit the documents for your programme. The standing procedure says to check status after five working days and describes admission/visa materials within four weeks after approval. The FAQ instead describes downloading admission after one week and receiving JW202 by email; these are differing published processing descriptions, not guaranteed dates. It confirms no application fee, undergraduate CSCA, and recommended advance supervisor contact for graduates. Spring entry is language/foundation only. The admission letter fixes registration; bring admission, visa and medical documents. The FAQ requires tuition payment to complete registration. Use the published programme checklist and confirm current intake availability; the standing pages do not establish a 2027 opening.

Separate undergraduate, graduate, language and foundation checklists

All categories provide passport with at least 12 months validity, qualification/grades or expected-graduation evidence, financial guarantee, police and medical records. Undergraduate/foundation applicants add language evidence and CSCA; graduates add a plan of at least 1000字, two references, optional supervisor acceptance and optional academic achievements. Graduates need the prescribed bachelor’s/master’s academic records. The page gives Chinese HSK 5≥180 for bachelor’s/graduate study and English IELTS 6/TOEFL 75 undergraduate, IELTS 6.5/TOEFL 85 graduate, with listed prior-medium/interview alternatives; foundation Chinese HSK 3≥180. Under 18 applicants need parent delegation/China-guardian originals. Other-language documents need Chinese/English translation. Do not substitute the older linked prospectus’s HSK 4,800-character plan or old portal for this page.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.
