Application timing and source scope

For the 2026/2027 degree intake, Chongqing University's undergraduate and postgraduate prospectuses set a general self-funded deadline of 31 May 2026 Beijing time; scholarship programs use their own notices. The 2026 CSC Silk Road Program closed on 15 May 2026 and was limited to ten named countries. Other 2026 scholarship notices also had separate dates. For the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship, the university's 2026 guide sets a 31 October 2026 deadline for March 2027 entry. The guide requires applications in both the scholarship platform and Chongqing University's portal. It does not state an opening date. Its award covers tuition, campus accommodation, medical insurance and a monthly stipend; the three-year master's program receives scholarship funding for two years. No 2027/2028 general degree or CSC Type B deadline was found in the university's notices checked on 2 October 2026. The 2026 degree and Silk Road deadlines have passed. The separate 2026 Joint CSC postgraduate call closed 25 February 2026 and required its CNY 400 application fee before that cutoff. This closed call does not establish a 2027 degree window.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10611. For Type B, match it to Chongqing University in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
