Application timing and source scope

Dalian University of Technology has published a 2027 Chinese Government Scholarship Type B call: the High-Level Postgraduate and Silk Road routes run from 1 November 2026 to 15 February 2027, for master’s and doctoral applicants only. Apply in CSC and DUT systems using agency number 10141. The Type B route-specific package states tuition waiver, on-campus accommodation, CNY 3,000/month for master’s or CNY 3,500/month for doctoral study, and CSC insurance; international travel is self-funded. This is not a bachelor’s award. The separate 2027 Chinese- and English-taught master’s and doctoral direct-admission pages open November 1, 2026 and close in June 2027, without a precise closing day. Other routes require their own notice. Dalian University of Technology (大连理工大学) publishes separate windows by programme and intake. Its Chinese Government Scholarship High Level Postgraduate and Silk Road Programmes (Type B) notice for 2026, 大连理工大学2026年度中国政府奖学金高水平研究生和丝绸之路项目申请办法(TYPE B), published 20 October 2025, ran 1 November 2025 to 15 February 2026. The university's 2027 Type B notice, 大连理工大学2027年度中国政府奖学金高水平研究生和丝绸之路项目申请办法(TYPE B), was published 23 September 2026 and sets the application window at 1 November 2026 to 15 February 2027 for master's and doctoral applicants; as read on 2 October 2026, that future window had not opened. It lists waived tuition, free campus accommodation, a monthly stipend of CNY 3,000 for master's and CNY 3,500 for doctoral students, and CSC medical insurance; international travel is self-funded. Applications use the CSC system and DUT portal (http://iso.dlut.edu.cn/), agency number 10141. The 2026 notices for Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship and DUT's Presidential Scholarship set a separate master's and doctoral window of 1 November 2025 to 15 February 2026; the 2026 undergraduate Presidential Scholarship ran to 30 June 2026. The 2026 self-funded degree cycle ran from 1 November 2025 until June 2026, with registration in early September. The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship has separate cut-offs by entry: 15 April for July, 15 May for September, 15 September for December and 31 October 2026 for March 2027. The direct-admission graduate window comes from the separate 2027 programme pages; other scholarship windows must not be inferred from the Type B call. The 2027 Type B funding package is graduate-only and route-specific; it does not confirm a bachelor’s CSC stipend or extend these benefits to the other listed scholarships. The March 2027 Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship is separate, with student deadline 31 October 2026 and host/recommender review by 10 November 2026.

Read the university's procedure
  1. 1

    Choose your program and intake

Check Dalian University of Technology's current prospectus for your degree, teaching language, eligibility and deadline. Arrange supervisor contact or pre-admission first when the program requires it.

    Read official admission instructions
  2. 2

    Prepare your documents

Use the checklist below, then compare it with your program's required documents. Prepare any signed forms, translations and referee submissions before starting the final application.

  3. 3

Follow the portal order in the Type B notice

If it asks for the CSC form in the university system, finish CSC first and upload that form. If it asks for university admission or recommendation first, complete that stage before CSC. Where both systems are required, submit to both; use a CSC-only process only when the official notice explicitly specifies it.

    Read official admission instructions
  4. 4

    Complete the required application systems

Use the university and CSC instructions below in the order specified by your program. Keep names, degree, major and teaching language consistent across the forms. Check submission status in every required system.

  5. 5

Track decisions and respond to requests

Check your portal and email for missing-document requests, interviews and results. If a form is returned, correct it and resubmit. Keep admission and scholarship decisions separate; follow the final offer for acceptance, registration and original-document checks.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10141. For Type B, match it to Dalian University of Technology in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
