Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

East China University of Political Science and Law (华东政法大学, ECUPL) publishes its dated windows in its own 2026 international student admission guides, all posted on 2 December 2025 on study.ecupl.edu.cn, the university's Study at ECUPL site. For the 2026 intake (2026/2027 academic year, September 2026 entry) every programme level runs the same two-stage window: applications submitted together with a scholarship application closed on 30 April 2026, and the window from 1 May 2026 to 30 September 2026 accepts self-funded applications only. This is stated identically in the undergraduate guide (2026年外国留学生本科生招生简章), the master's guide (2026年外国留学生硕士研究生招生简章) and the doctoral guide (2026年外国留学生博士研究生招生简章). The guides add that scholarship recipients receive their admission notice and visa application form in July and August, while self-funded students receive theirs between July and October. The same guides state the scholarship closing date simply as 截止日期:每年4月30日 (30 April each year). Separately, ECUPL's own notice of 25 December 2025 for the 2026 Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students sets that award's application period as 1 November 2025 to 30 April 2026, filed at study-shanghai.cn, matching the 2025.11.1 to 2026.4.30 window that the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission lists for ECUPL. All of these 2026-intake scholarship windows had closed as of 24 September 2026. The self-funded-only window from 1 May 2026 to 30 September 2026 closed at the end of 30 September 2026 Beijing time; this was an admission window, not a scholarship window. As of 2 October 2026, every 2026 intake window described here is closed. The 2026 doctoral guide was re-read in full on 24 September 2026 and again on 30 September 2026 and states the two stages verbatim as 至2026年4月30日(可同时提交奖学金申请)and 2026年5月1日至2026年9月30日(只接受自费申请), with 申请费:400元; a prior version of this record wrongly said every 2026-intake window had closed. The recorded review of the Study at ECUPL admission listing did not establish a 2027-intake admission or scholarship window. The dates above remain explicitly historical 2026 dates; this is not a claim that no other current notice exists.

Guide scope reviewed 3 October 2026. Dates apply only to the intake and route named in each notice.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.
