Application fee

CNY 500 or USD 80 The 2026 master’s and doctoral Apply to FAFU page states CNY 500 or USD 80 as an application fee, paid when the International College notifies applicants after eligibility review and academic assessment. Its linked Fees and Payments reference, published May 8, 2024, calls the same amount a first-semester registration fee and states it is non-refundable. The refund rule is attributed to that older reference. The earlier recorded 2023 brochure was not independently recovered here; this evidence does not establish a new 2027 fee or a scholarship application-fee exemption.

Linked CSC checklist with older cycle markers

FAFU links a separate generic CSC annex that retains 2025 cycle markers. It requires pre-admission evidence, a plan of at least 1,000 Chinese characters or more than 1,000 English words/characters, and a Chinese supervisor’s signature for doctoral plans. Its generic HSK 4 graduate minimum differs from FAFU’s HSK 5 rule. Reference: Linked generic Type B annex retains September 2025 enrolment and 2025 passport markers. Confirm the latest notice for the same course and route before applying.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.

  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.
