- Language: English-taught programmes: applicants whose native language is not English must provide IELTS Academic (no less than 6.0 overall with no band below 5.0), TOEFL iBT (no less than 70 with no section below 15) or another equivalent English test. Native English speakers or applicants whose previous degree was taught entirely in English are exempt but must submit a supporting English or English-medium certificate. Chinese-taught programmes: Chinese proficiency must in principle reach at least HSK Level 4. For the CSC High-Level Postgraduate project, Chinese-taught applicants must provide HSK Level 5 or above.. Age: Bachelor's applicants must in principle be 18 to 30 years old. For the CSC High-Level Postgraduate project, master's applicants must generally be no older than 35 and doctoral applicants no older than 40.. Required degree: Bachelor's applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, must be in good physical and mental health with no colour blindness or colour weakness, and must meet one of two academic routes: excellent high school graduation results with a mathematics single-subject score of at least 70 out of 100 and either physics or chemistry also at least 70 out of 100, or completion of a recognised preparatory programme. Applicants must also score at least 70 out of 100 in an admission interview. A high school final-year student may be considered, subject to submitting all originals at registration.. Financial guarantee: Applicants must submit the Fujian Medical University International Student Financial Support Guarantee Letter together with supporting materials demonstrating financial capacity from personal funds, family support, government funding or a financial guarantor.
