Degree/non-degree eligibility; bilingual age boundary and programme teaching language

The Chinese brochure gives maximum ages not exceeding 35 for PhD, 30 for master’s, 25 for bachelor’s and 30 for non-degree language applicants; English says under those ages. Confirm the applicable boundary with the university. PhD applicants need a master’s, master’s applicants a bachelor’s, and bachelor’s/non-degree language applicants a high-school qualification or equivalent. The Chinese version requires HSK 4 at least 180 for Chinese-taught degree study. The programme table assigns teaching languages by major; it does not make every programme English-taught. Foreign-language applicants provide the language evidence the school requires; no universal IELTS/TOEFL minimum is stated.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.
