Liuzhou, Guangxi, China

Funding route on this profile

This profile does not currently list a verified CSC university route. Review the university’s latest notice before choosing a scholarship or self-funded application.

Application fee

The application-fee status has not been verified for the current route. The reviewed 2026–2027 international admission body lists tuition and accommodation but does not specify an application, registration, review or handling fee, its payment stage or refunds. The application-fee status remains unknown. The historical 2024–2025 Guangxi Government ASEAN call expressly waives registration, tuition and campus accommodation for its recipients. That award benefit does not establish a separate general registration charge or an amount payable by other applicants.

Intake
The university published a 2024-2025 academic year Guangxi Government Full Scholarship for ASEAN Students brochure on June 24, 2024, recruiting 2 master's students (recommended by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Nanning), 13 bachelor's students (4 recommended by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Nanning, 1 by the Lao Ministry of Education, 1 by the Chinese Embassy in Laos and 7 recruited directly by the university) and 10 Chinese language trainees (recommended by the National University of Laos).
Application fee
The historical 2024–2025 Guangxi Government ASEAN call waived registration, tuition and campus accommodation, provided monthly living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance, and left visa/residence, medical-examination, international-travel, utility and internet costs to students. This is a dated award benefit, not confirmation that general applications are fee-free.
Language requirement
The 2024–2025 Guangxi Government ASEAN call required ASEAN nationality, health, friendship towards China and no concurrent Chinese government scholarship. Bachelor's applicants needed good high-school results and HSK 4 (180+); master's applicants needed a bachelor's qualification and HSK 4 (180+). Language/bachelor's applicants were no older than 25 by August 31, 2024, and master's applicants generally no older than 35 by that date. These are historical award-specific criteria.
Scholarship
Official measures published June 2, 2020, effective May 2020, govern annual review of the university International Student Special Scholarship and Guangxi Government ASEAN scholarship. They concern enrolled recipients and continuation/adjustment of awards; the special measure also allows enrolled students not previously funded to apply in that review. These historical rules do not establish a current incoming award call or funding amount.
Verified fact
The university, then named Guangxi Institute of Technology, was first prepared in Nanning in 1958, moved to Liuzhou in 1985 by decision of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Government, merged with Liuzhou Medical College in 2012, and was approved by the Ministry of Education as Guangxi University of Science and Technology in 2013; it has three campuses in Liuzhou (Wenchang, Liushi and Liudong), 16 second-level colleges, one division and two directly affiliated hospitals.

Application timing and source scope

The 2026–2027 international admissions brochure, published March 13, 2026, prints May 5–June 25 for autumn Chinese-language applications, November 5–December 25 for spring Chinese-language applications, and May 5–June 25 for autumn bachelor's/master's applications. The body does not assign calendar years to these month/day windows, so it does not establish November–December 2026 as an application window for spring 2027. Apply through gxust.liuguanbao.com and confirm the intended intake year with the university. The separate June 24, 2024 Guangxi Government ASEAN call required paper and electronic materials before June 30, 2024; that historical cutoff has passed. Its places included seven bachelor's candidates recruited directly by the university, alongside recommendation routes. No separate 2027 intake window or current provincial-award call is confirmed by the official bodies reviewed here.

Guide scope reviewed 3 October 2026. Dates apply only to the intake and route named in each notice.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.
