- The 2026-2027 Chinese Government Scholarship High Level Postgraduate Program announcement, posted 28 October 2025, states the receiving institution number (受理机构编号) used in the Chinese Government Scholarship Information Management System as 11658.
- CSC High Level Postgraduate deadline
- The same announcement sets the application deadline at 12 January 2026. The university submits its recommended candidate list and application materials to the China Scholarship Council at the end of March 2026, the CSC issues the JW201 form after final review, and the final admission list is confirmed in July to August 2026.
- Application fee
- The 2026 International Student Admissions Guide, posted 18 November 2025, lists an application fee (报名费) of CNY 500 per person, rendered in the university's English edition as "Application Fee (in RMB): 500 Yuan per person".
- Self-funded application deadlines
- Under the 2026 International Student Admissions Guide, the Chinese language program has a spring deadline of 31 December and a fall deadline of 30 June; degree students enter in the fall with a deadline of 30 June, reporting 29-30 August and starting classes 1 September; spring intake students report 26-28 February and start 1 March.
- Degree tuition

- Accommodation and other charges
- Twin room accommodation with air-conditioner, water heater and private bathroom is CNY 4,000 per person per academic year, CNY 2,000 per semester or CNY 20 per day, with internet, water and electricity at the student's own expense. Residence permit approximately CNY 800 per year, physical examination approximately CNY 400, basic textbooks approximately CNY 400 per year and comprehensive medical insurance approximately CNY 800 per year.
- International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship deadlines
- The 2026 International Student Admissions Guide gives application deadlines for the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship of 15 May for September entry and 31 October for March entry, covering the International Chinese Language Education master's and bachelor's degrees and one-academic-year and one-semester study.
- Hainan provincial scholarship window
- The Hainan Provincial Government International Student Scholarship, for bachelor, master and doctoral study, is open from the beginning of January to the beginning of April each year, applied for directly to the International Education College admissions office.
- Hainan Chinese Education Scholarship
- The 2026 Hainan Chinese Education Scholarship announcement, posted 24 July 2026, closed on 5 August 2026 for September 2026 entry. It funds one academic year of Chinese language study for outstanding ethnic Chinese international students, prioritising those of Hainan origin, aged under 60, and waives tuition, accommodation, basic textbook and comprehensive insurance costs.
- CSC China Link short-term program
- The 2026 China Link short-term scientific exchange program announcement, posted 8 May 2026, covers general advanced students and senior advanced students for 1 to 12 months with study starting no later than 31 August 2027, in Chinese international education and international Chinese language education. It provides a full scholarship covering tuition, on-campus accommodation and comprehensive medical insurance, with a living allowance of CNY 3,000 per month for general advanced students and CNY 3,500 per month for senior advanced students. Applications close three months before study begins, excluding university winter and summer vacations.
- Language requirements
- Chinese-taught master applicants in humanities need new HSK Level 5 at 180 or above, raised to 210 for International Chinese Language Education, and science and engineering applicants need new HSK Level 4 or above. Chinese-taught doctoral applicants in humanities need new HSK Level 6 at 180 or above and science and engineering applicants need new HSK Level 5 or above. English-taught applicants from non-English-speaking countries need TOEFL 78 or IELTS 6.0.
