Application timing and source scope

Hangzhou Normal University publishes dated stages for the 2026/2027 intake through its International Education College scholarship pages (gjjyxy.hznu.edu.cn/gljxj/). The 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship — Chinese University Program (高校自主招生项目) notice, published 1 March 2026, sets the application deadline at 30 April 2026 for full-time master's study beginning in the 2026 autumn term, with the awardee list sent to the China Scholarship Council for review in May 2026 and admission notices issued in July 2026; that window has now closed. The Chinese Government Scholarship country bilateral programme (国别双边项目) notice was published 1 December 2025 and is applied for through the Chinese embassy in the applicant's home country rather than through the university. A separate 2026 CSC annual review notice was published 15 April 2026. As of 17 September 2026 no notice for a 2027/2028 degree intake has been published.

2026 CSC master admission

Complete CSC using agency 10346, then submit documents in HZNU's institutional system as directed by the English edition. Upload application, passport, qualification/transcripts, language evidence, personal statement, two academic recommendations, health record and application-fee proof. The Chinese edition additionally lists police certificate and photo. University assessment precedes CSC review in May; successful applicants are notified in July. The Chinese text mentions CSC alone while the English procedure explicitly requires both systems. Its English introduction also retains an outdated 2020 reference; confirm current instructions with admissions.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10346. For Type B, match it to Hangzhou Normal University in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
