Age: CSC applicants: under 25 for a bachelor's degree, under 35 for a master's degree, and under 40 for a doctoral degree. Self-funded applicants: generally under 25 for a bachelor's degree, under 35 for a master's degree and under 45 for a doctoral degree. Applicants under 18 whose parents do not live in China must appoint a foreign resident in China or a Chinese resident as guardian with written certification.. Required degree: Bachelor's applicants must hold a high school diploma with excellent grades; master's applicants a bachelor's degree; doctoral applicants a master's degree. CSC master's and doctoral applicants must not be studying in China at the time of application..
