Agency number recorded: 10295. Confirm it in the current Type B notice before submitting.

Application fee

CNY 400 Self-funded applicants pay a CNY 400 application fee, stated on Jiangnan University's own 留学江南 pages as non-refundable and payable at the time of application. The 2026 undergraduate notice's fee table heads the column 申请费 and shows 400 for both 文科专业 and 理科、设计专业; the master's notice states 申请费:400元(在申请时付,不退); the doctoral notice states the same; and the Chinese language programme lists a 报名费 of 400元/人 (不予退还). The university's own admissions Q&A distinguishes this from the scholarship routes: for Chinese Government Scholarship Type A (国别奖) the answer reads 同时提交申请,无需支付报名费, and for Type B (高水平研究生项目和丝绸之路项目) it reads 无需支付报名费 — so CSC applicants pay no application fee, and the CNY 400 applies to self-funded applicants. Separately, the undergraduate, master's and doctoral notices require self-funded applicants to prepay CNY 3,000 of tuition (预收学费人民币3000元) within one month of a pre-admission notice, forfeiting the place if late; that is advance tuition, not an application fee, and is not recorded as one.

Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

Jiangnan University publishes dated windows for the 2026 intake across its own 留学江南 international-student site. For the Chinese Government Scholarship High-Level Postgraduate Program (Type B), the 2026 招生简章 sets an application window of 15 October 2025 to 20 February 2026, interviews in early-to-mid March 2026, admission in July 2026 and enrolment at the end of August to early September 2026. The Chinese Government Scholarship Silk Road Program (also Type B) closed on 8 May 2026. The Chinese Government Scholarship Bilateral Program (Type A) runs annually from 1 November to 31 March of the following year, with the exact date set by each country's dispatching authority; the round ending 31 March 2026 has closed. All four of those 2026 windows have now closed. Self-funded degree applicants follow an annual window of 1 November to 30 June for master's and doctoral programmes; the 2026 undergraduate intake closed on 30 June 2026, and the autumn 2026 Chinese language programme closed on 7 August 2026. The 2026 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship carried four Beijing-time deadlines by programme start — 15 April 2026 for July entry, 15 May 2026 for September entry, 15 September 2026 for December entry, and 31 October 2026 for March 2027 entry — so the first three have closed and the 31 October 2026 deadline is the one date still open on this page. The CSC China Link short-term research exchange programme has no fixed cut-off: applicants must apply at least three months before the intended start and begin study in China no later than 31 August 2027, so it remains open. Jiangnan University's own awards — the President's Scholarship and Taihu Scholarship — the Jiangsu Provincial Government Scholarship (留学江苏政府奖学金), the Gong Tiecheng Scholarship and the Shanghai Commercial & Savings Bank Scholarship are each assessed once per academic year for students already enrolled and carry no published application deadline. No 2027-intake admission notice had been published as of 17 September 2026; the newest items on the site were 2026 registration and orientation news dated 14 September 2026. Jiangsu Jasmine/Provincial award participation was not established in the JNU sources reviewed and has been removed from the award list. Scope the CSC coverage panel to its named route and full-award terms; the 2026 High-Level Postgraduate route is master’s/doctoral only. The separate March 2027 Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship route remains open through 31 October 2026.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10295. For Type B, match it to Jiangnan University in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
