Application timing and source scope

The most recent dated international-student application window published on 暨南大学's own pages is for the 2026 intake (academic year 2026 entry), in the official '暨南大学2026年招收华人及其他外籍学生（来华留学生）简章' published 2025-12-05 and its English mirror 'Jinan University Application Guide for International Students (2026)' published 2026-01-16. Two pathways were published: (1) 申请审核入学 (Application Review Admission) — online registration 15 January – 28 February 2026, and again 1 April – 31 May 2026; (2) 两校联招考试 (Jinan University / Huaqiao University Joint Entrance Examination) — online registration 1–15 March 2026, on-site verification 19–27 March 2026 (by appointment), examination 30–31 May 2026. Both 2026 windows have closed and, per the 简章 itself, '上述日期及事项或有修改，将在暨南大学本科招生网公布' (dates may be modified and will be announced on the JNU undergraduate admissions site). As of 2026-09-15 NO 2027 (or later) international-student application window has been published on 暨南大学's own pages: the newest item on the 港澳台侨留学生招生 > 招生简章/政策规定 listing (https://zsb.jnu.edu.cn/40322/list.htm) is dated 2026-05-22, and the graduate portal's newest international item is 2026-05-12. The 2026 简章 was published in early December 2025, so a 2027 counterpart would historically be expected around November–December 2026, but no such notice exists yet and none is invented here. This window is NOT open. The separate 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship Type B High-Level Postgraduate route is graduate-only: Jinan University applications ran 22 January–3 March 2026, and the CSC final submission deadline was 24 March 2026, using agency/admissions code 10559. That round is closed. The university did not publish 2027/28 dates in the reviewed notice set.

Verbatim: "This scholarship has been set up by Jinan University to be awarded to full-time foreign students and overseas Chinese who have excellent school performances. The most outstanding students can get RMB 15,000 to 30,000 scholarships for the first academic year. There are RMB 120,000 to 180,000 scholarships for the best students during their 4 to 6 academic years." That page also names a 'Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship Program' without stating amounts. Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.
