Application fee

CNY 400 (or USD 60 when remitted from outside China) The College of International Education's live Fees & Payment page states verbatim 'I Application fee: 400 CNY per person', with the notes that the applicant pays it after receiving a payment notice from the online application system, that 'Application fee is non-refundable', and that the bank receipt must be uploaded to the application system. The same page gives the domestic route (CNY 400 to the NJFU account at China Construction Bank Nanjing Chengdong Sub-Branch, account 32001597336050000659) and the overseas route (USD 60 via ICBC Nanjing Branch, account 4301012509001032644), then lists 'II Tuition' separately at 16500 CNY per academic year for bachelor's, 27000 for master's, 31000 for PhD and 6500 CNY per academic semester for Chinese-language programmes — confirming that 400 is the application fee and not a tuition figure. The figure is independently restated in the 2026/2027 CSC Silk Road notice of 30 April 2026 ('Pay the application fee: CNY 400 ... The application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE once remitted') and in the 2027 Chinese Language Training Program notice of 8 September 2026, which lists 'Application Fee 400 RMB' against a separate 'Tuition 6500 RMB/semester'.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
