Application timing and source scope

Shandong University (山东大学) publishes a single dated 申请时间 block inside its 山东大学2026年国际学生(硕士)招生简章, issued 14 November 2025 by the International Affairs Office at istudy.sdu.edu.cn, and every window in it is scoped to the 2026/2027 intake: the self-funded programmes (自费项目) ran 即日起 to 31 May 2026; Chinese Government Scholarship Type B (中国政府奖学金 B类) closed on 6 February 2026; the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship (国际中文教师奖学金) closed on 15 May 2026; the International Confucian Association Scholars Programme master's scholarship (国际儒联学者计划硕士项目奖学金) closed on 1 April 2026; the Jinan Sister-City Scholarship (济南市友城奖学金) closed on 1 March 2026; and the Shandong University Outstanding International Student Scholarship (山东大学优秀国际学生奖学金) closed on 1 April 2026. Chinese Government Scholarship Type A has no university date because the brochure directs applicants to the dispatching authority in their own country (具体咨询所在国有关派遣部门). The master’s routes and cutoffs recorded in this prospectus have closed for the 2026/2027 intake and no 2027/2028 notice was published as of 17 September 2026. The brochure itself was published as page images, so this window was read by OCR at 200 dpi; the related FAQ states self-funded admission results are released by 30 June and CSC and university-scholarship results by 1 September. Separately, the official 2026 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship image brochure read on 3 October 2026 states in its application-procedure block that online registration opens 1 March 2026 and applicants for March 2027 commencement must complete submission before 31 October 2026. The programme table instead prints March 2026 in its one-semester start row; confirm the intended intake year with SDU before submission. This semester award is distinct from the closed September 2026 master’s award cutoff. Scholarship holders use chinese.cn first, then register in SDU’s system when the university emails them after the award. The brochure states no application-fee amount or payment terms.

Recorded CSC agency number; confirm it in the current CSC call: 10422

Master’s CSC routes

The master’s brochure requires both CSC and SDU applications by February 6, 2026 for Type B, referring to the separate scholarship notice for exact sequence. Type A follows the home-country dispatch agency’s deadline. It does not itself establish a Type B code or submission order.

Read the university's procedure
  1. 1

    Choose your program and intake

Check Shandong University's current prospectus for your degree, teaching language, eligibility and deadline. Arrange supervisor contact or pre-admission first when the program requires it.

    Read official admission instructions
  2. 2

    Prepare your documents

Use the checklist below, then compare it with your program's required documents. Prepare any signed forms, translations and referee submissions before starting the final application.

  3. 3

Follow the portal order in the Type B notice

If it asks for the CSC form in the university system, finish CSC first and upload that form. If it asks for university admission or recommendation first, complete that stage before CSC. Where both systems are required, submit to both; use a CSC-only process only when the official notice explicitly specifies it.

    Read official admission instructions
  4. 4

    Complete the required application systems

Use the university and CSC instructions below in the order specified by your program. Keep names, degree, major and teaching language consistent across the forms. Check submission status in every required system.

  5. 5

Track decisions and respond to requests

Check your portal and email for missing-document requests, interviews and results. If a form is returned, correct it and resubmit. Keep admission and scholarship decisions separate; follow the final offer for acceptance, registration and original-document checks.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

Application templates
How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10422. For Type B, match it to Shandong University in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
