Application fee

The application-fee status has not been verified for the current route. An application-fee amount or exemption was not established in the reviewed SUIBE 2026–2027 international admission documents. The undated 收费标准 (fee standard) section of the 2026-2027 undergraduate brochure lists 学费 20000元/学年, 保险费 800元/年 and accommodation (双人间 2400元/学年/人; 四人间 1200元/学年/人), and the 2026-2027 postgraduate brochure lists 学费 30000元/学年 and 保险费 800元/年; both state that self-funded payment notices are emailed by the students office after the admission result is published, and neither states an application, registration or handling fee. The 2026 Silk Road Chinese Government Scholarship application guide, the 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship High Level Postgraduate Programme guide, the 2026 Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students guide and the 奖学金设置 page likewise supply no established application-fee amount in the retained review. Because the reviewed notices establish neither a separate charge nor a free application, the status is recorded as unknown rather than confirmed-free.

Application timing and source scope

The Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (上海对外经贸大学) scopes every stage of its 2026-2027 international admission cycle to that academic year in dated brochures published by its Foreign Affairs Office (外事处) students office on 29 December 2025. For undergraduate applicants (2026-2027学年上海对外经贸大学国际学生本科生招生简章, 29 December 2025): the Chinese Government Scholarship (Type A) follows the schedule set by each receiving agency abroad and carries no university-set date; the Chinese Government Scholarship (Type B) follows the individual programme notice; the Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students ran from 15 January 2026 to 10 May 2026; the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship ran from 1 March 2026 to 10 May 2026 and is restricted to the Chinese International Education (Business Chinese) major; and the self-funded route ran from 15 January 2026 to 10 May 2026, all courses being Chinese-taught with a planned intake of 150-300 places and all undergraduate applicants required to sit the CSCA test before applying. For postgraduate applicants (2026-2027学年上海对外经贸大学国际学生研究生招生简章, 29 December 2025): the Chinese Government Scholarship (Type B) High Level Postgraduate Programme ran from 1 January 2026 to 23 February 2026; the Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students ran from 15 January 2026 to 10 May 2026; and the self-funded route ran from 15 January 2026 to 10 May 2026. Two further dated notices extend the cycle: 上海对外经贸大学2026-2027学年“丝绸之路”中国政府奖学金项目申请指南, published 8 May 2026, sets a closing time of 24:00 Beijing time on 18 May 2026 (Monday) for that Silk Road programme, with selection interviews scheduled in late May 2026; and 2026年上海对外经贸大学中国政府奖学金“高水平研究生”项目申请指南, published 29 December 2025, confirms the 1 January to 23 February 2026 window with interviews in early March 2026 and enrolment in September 2026. All of these 2026-2027 windows had closed by 30 September 2026. The 2025-2026 brochures of 23 April 2025 and the 2024-2025 brochures of 29 April 2024 are still published, showing the pattern repeats annually, but no 2027-2028 notice had been published as of 30 September 2026, so the next cycle's dates cannot yet be named. Route-specific 2026/27 dates: undergraduate self-funded and Shanghai scholarship applications opened 15 January and closed 10 May 2026; undergraduate ICLTS ran 1 March–10 May and was limited to Business Chinese; graduate self-funded and Shanghai scholarship ran 15 January–10 May; graduate CSC Type B ran 1 January–23 February. All these dates are past as of 2 October 2026. No 2027/28 dates are established. Source: https://www.suibe.edu.cn/wsc/zsxx/list.htm

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10273. For Type B, match it to Shanghai University of International Business and Economics in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
