CNY 400 per person Shanghai University of Political Science and Law charges a registration fee (报名费 / 报名注册费) of CNY 400 per person. The 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship High-Level Postgraduate Program brochure, published 29 October 2025, states it verbatim in the application procedure: "缴纳报名注册费 400 元人民币 / 人" — pay a registration fee of 400 yuan per person. The university's International Students Office also operates a dedicated page titled 注册费转账信息 (registration fee transfer information) giving the bank account for paying it. This is the application-stage fee and not tuition: the same general brochure publishes a separate full tuition table of CNY 21,500 to 32,000 per year for bachelor's programmes, CNY 25,000 to 50,000 per year for master's programmes, CNY 1,200 to 18,000 for language programmes and CNY 23,000 to 30,000 for general advanced programmes, all recorded under tuition instead.

Published dates and unconfirmed windows
Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (上海政法学院) publishes dated windows through its International Students Office (留学生工作办公室, iso.shupl.edu.cn). For the 2026 intake, the Chinese Government Scholarship High-Level Postgraduate Program brochure (2026年上海政法学院中国政府奖学金高水平研究生项目招生简章), published 29 October 2025, states its application deadline verbatim as "本项目申请材料提交截止时间为2025年12月31日" — 31 December 2025 — and adds that CSC applicants should sit the CSCA test no later than the April sitting and submit their application no later than May. The general 2026 international student admissions brochure (上海政法学院2026年国际学生招生简章), published the same day, 29 October 2025, sets out the two-stage route for self-funded and scholarship applicants — apply through admission.shupl.edu.cn, then sit the university's selection test and expert committee review — but publishes no separate calendar closing date for self-funded applications. Applications are made through the university's own system at admission.shupl.edu.cn. Both 2026 notices were the most recent published as of 17 September 2026; the 2026 CSC High-Level Postgraduate deadline of 31 December 2025 has passed, and no notice naming the 2027 intake had been published when this was checked.
Guide scope reviewed 3 October 2026. Dates apply only to the intake and route named in each notice.

Undergraduate applicants should take the major-specific CSCA early and upload the result. Register and submit through SHUPL’s portal. The university conducts selection testing and expert review, then sends admission and JW201/JW202 documents to successful applicants. Prepare qualifications/transcripts, financial guarantee, passport/photo, medical/police records, language evidence, study plan, applicable China history and one-minute introduction video; master’s applicants require two academic references. The application fee is CNY 400; payment timing is not stated. CSC undergraduate applicants were told to take CSCA by the April sitting and submit by May; this is not a full separate CSC procedure.
