华南理工大学

Guangzhou, Guangdong, China

This guide brings together the application routes, published timing, submission methods, scholarship steps, documents, and source links recorded for South China University of Technology. Requirements can differ by degree, program, teaching language, and funding route. The university’s current notice controls the application.

Funding route on this profile

The profile includes CSC-related application guidance for South China University of Technology. Type B participation, eligible programs, and deadlines must be confirmed in the current university call.

Agency number recorded: 10561. Confirm it in the current Type B notice before submitting.

Application fee

The recorded application fee is CNY 450. The application fee is CNY 450, stated as 申请费:450 元 in the 学习费用 (Study Fees) section of the university's own 2026 华南理工大学来华留学生招生简章 (South China University of Technology International Student Prospectus 2026, PDF published by the School of International Education). The prospectus note reads 申请费一经缴纳,不予退还(不支付申请费的申请无效) — the application fee is non-refundable once paid, and an application that does not pay it is invalid — and 申请费和学费按照人民币结算,网上支付,不收现金, that both the application fee and tuition are settled in RMB by online payment with no cash accepted. The English master's and doctoral admission pages instruct applicants to 'pay the application fee online' at www.scut.edu.cn/apply. The CNY 450 charge applies to self-funded applicants. The official standing FAQ explicitly exempts applicants applying for CSC or ICLTS, not only awarded recipients. The standing ICLTS procedure also describes SCUT registration as free of application fee. This figure is the one-off application fee only and is not tuition, which is recorded separately under tuition. The 30 元 (学历生全免) line on the accommodation page of the same prospectus is a campus card (校园一卡通) charge, not an application fee, and is not counted here.

Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

South China University of Technology publishes a self-funded deadline for the 2026 undergraduate and master’s routes: 每年 6 月 30 日 (30 June each year) for undergraduate and master's applications, stated in the 2026 华南理工大学来华留学生招生简章 and repeated on the university's English admission pages, with the note that some schools set their own earlier cut-off (部分专业的报名截止日期以学院最终招生要求为准). Teaching begins each September. The 30 June 2026 date for the 2026 autumn intake has now closed. The Chinese Government Scholarship route (中国政府奖学金, Type B) runs on a separate cycle: the 2026 prospectus states 申请日期:每年 10 月至次年 2 月 (applications from October to the following February), final award lists published May to July, and the JW201 visa form and admission letter downloaded from the CSC portal in July; the 30 June 2026 self-funded deadline and the February 2026 CSC deadline have both passed. The published standing rules are June 30 each year for self-funded applications and October to the following February for CSC. They do not establish a dated 2027 application window or current open status. No separate 2027/2028 call was verified in this review. The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship runs its own cycles: the 汉语国际教育本科 and 一学年研修生 programmes commence September 2026, the 一学期研修生 programme commences either September 2026 or March 2027, and the 四周研修生 programme commences July 2026 or December 2026, filed first through cis.chinese.cn; after recommending-institution review, applicants must also register and upload documents at www.scut.edu.cn/apply. This standing award procedure states no intake year or cutoff. The 广东省政府来粤国际学生奖学金 and SCUT's own 优秀国际学生奖学金 share the 6 月 30 日 deadline (每年 6 月 30 日) and require no separate application, as candidates are drawn from self-funded applicants. The standing FAQ gives June 15 for postgraduate applications and normally March 31 for CSC, differing from the recorded 2026 prospectus’s master’s June 30 and CSC October–February pattern. It expressly makes cutoffs subject to the latest annual notice; these standing dates do not establish 2027 degree/CSC dates. Its language/foundation spring cutoff is recurring December 31 and ICLTS spring cutoff recurring October 31.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.
