Application timing and source scope

Tiangong University (天津工业大学), the institution formerly published in English as Tianjin Polytechnic University, sets out its dated international admission stages in the TGU Scholarship Information-2026 PDF, published by the School of International Education and posted on the university's official English site on 31 March 2026. For the Chinese Government Scholarship the same document gives an application window of 1 December 2025 to 1 March 2026, so the 2026/2027 CSC round closed on 1 March 2026; it also requires CSCA scores to be submitted on the CSC website by 1 March each year and on the university's own site by 1 July each year. The TGU Scholarship Information-2026 covers four separate awards in one document — the CSC, the Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarship, the TGU First-Class University Scholarship and the TGU Second-Class University Scholarship — all applied for through the university's online application system at https://tiangong.17gz.org/, and for the university's own two scholarships the deadline is the same as the admission round rather than a separate date. The Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarship page on the same official site states a deadline of 15 May for September entry, so that round closed on 15 May 2026. The Chinese Language General Scholar prospectus for 2026, published on the same site on 11 November 2025, offers one-semester or one-academic-year study and directs applicants to the same online system without publishing a separate cut-off date. No notice for the 2027/2028 intake has been published as of 17 September 2026, and the university does not publish a separate self-funded degree deadline distinct from the scholarship round.

The 2026 brochure gives CSC online submission through campuschina.org using agency 10058, during 1 December 2025–1 March 2026. It does not state the category or require an ordered second university application in this section. Undergraduate CSCA results are required by the applicable scholarship deadline and the university's July deadline; subjects depend on the programme catalogue. Postgraduate applicants need the appropriate previous degree and two academic references. General programme language/fee rules are separate from CSC-specific submission order. No 2027 degree window is established.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
