Application fee

The application-fee status has not been verified for the current route. No application fee for international students is published anywhere on Xiamen University of Technology's official sites. The 2026 international student prospectus (zs.xmut.edu.cn/info/1022/2772.htm, 26 January 2026) has a 收费标准 section that lists only three things: tuition per student per academic year (undergraduate Chinese-taught 14,000 CNY for arts/business/management and for engineering/science, 18,000 CNY for creative arts; master's Chinese-taught 19,000 CNY, 22,000 CNY for creative arts; master's English-taught 25,000 CNY; advanced students 14,000 CNY), an accommodation charge of 2,000 CNY per student per academic year, and a 其他费用 line reading 教材费、保险费、体检等费用,详细清单待入学注册时告知,约为2000元 — textbooks, insurance and physical examination totalling about 2,000 CNY, itemised at enrolment and registration. That last figure is an enrolment cost, not an application fee, and it is explicitly deferred to registration, so it is recorded under otherCosts and not in feeAmount. The 13-item application material list in the same prospectus and its English counterpart, and the 2023 厦门理工学院2023年国际学生申请指南, name no application or registration fee at all. The 2023 国际学生招生章程 (Article 23) states 学校没有委托、授权任何中介机构或个人参与国际学生的招生工作,不收取与招生录取挂钩的任何费用 — the university does not charge any fee tied to admission through agents — which is a statement about agent-linked charges, not a statement that no application fee exists for applicants. Accordingly the status is recorded as unknown rather than confirmed-free: the official pages omit a fee, and an omission is not evidence of free.

Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

Xiamen University of Technology (厦门理工学院) publishes its international application window only inside its annual prospectus, and the current cycle is the 2026 one. The 2026 Enrollment Guide for International Students (厦门理工学院2026年国际学生招生简章), published on the university's admissions site zs.xmut.edu.cn on 26 January 2026, sets the self-funded window as 自简章公布之日起至2026年5月5日 — that is, from the date of publication of the prospectus to 5 May 2026 — and it gives that identical closing date of 5 May 2026 to three separate tracks: 自费生 (self-funded), 中国政府奖学金(B类)(Chinese Government Scholarship Type B, the Silk Road Program, applied through studyinchina.csc.edu.cn using the university's code 11062), and 厦门理工学院国际生奖学金 (the XMUT International Student Scholarship). For 中国政府奖学金(A类), the country bilateral programme, the prospectus names no XMUT date and instead directs applicants to the dispatching authority in their own country, stating only that the window is 一般为每年1月~4月初 (generally January to early April each year) and that closing dates differ by country. Two later dated stages are fixed in the same prospectus: the online entrance interview is arranged for 2026年5月下旬 (late May 2026), and the official admission list is published 2026年7月前 (before July 2026). Every one of these 2026 dates had already passed as of 30 September 2026, and no 2027/2028 international admission notice had been published — the 国际学生 section of the admissions site carried only the two 26 January 2026 items (the Chinese prospectus and its English translation) at the date of this check. For historical comparison the preceding cycle, the 2025 Enrollment Guide published 17 February 2025, put the two XMUT-controlled deadlines at 28 February 2025 for CSC scholarship applicants and 10 May 2025 for XMUT scholarship applicants, as stated on the university's English How to Apply page; the 2023 国际学生陈嘉庚奖学金 prospectus used 10 May 2023, and the 2023 国际学生招生录取工作方案 placed the unified interview in late May 2023. The most recent official document dated for a future cycle on the international office site is 关于申报2026/2027学年“丝绸之路”中国政府奖学金项目的通知, which is an internal call inviting XMUT's own colleges to bid to host a Silk Road program, not a student application notice. Because no open window for 2027/2028 exists, the dating above is a record of the closed 2026 cycle and the institution's recurring pattern rather than a verified open window. The 2026 prospectus lists bachelor and master programmes; it does not list a doctoral programme, so do not present a university-specific Type B doctoral award or stipend. The Chen Jiageng award evidence located is from 2023 and does not establish current availability. The application fee is not published; confirm directly rather than describing the route as free.

Historical university online application channel

The recorded 2026 prospectus links the university international-student application portal at admission.xmut.edu.cn. Submit through that system using the notice's programme-specific material list. This recovered evidence establishes the university channel, not a fresh 2027 round or an order for CSC filings. The guide does not state a distinct application fee; unknown does not mean free. Tuition, accommodation and the approximately CNY 2,000 textbook/insurance/medical costs at registration are separate from application-fee status. Review and payment stages not retained in the evidence must be confirmed with the current programme notice.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 11062. For Type B, match it to Xiamen University of Technology in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
