Application fee

The recorded application fee is CNY 800. Xidian University publishes an application fee explicitly, as a named column headed 申请费 in the 费用标准 table of every one of its 2026 international admission brochures. (Chinese-language transfer-in undergraduates) each print 申请费 800 元 alongside the tuition figure. All four brochures state 1.以上费用均以人民币计算 (all the above are calculated in renminbi), so the application fee is CNY 800. The same tables list tuition separately per year — 本科生 25000 元/人/学年, 硕士研究生 30000 元/人/学年, 博士研究生 40000 元/人/学年, plus 语言进修生 14,000 元/学年 on the 费用缴纳 page — and those tuition amounts are recorded under tuition, never as the application fee. The tables also list 医疗保险费 1000 元 and 住宿费 3600 元 per person (range 3600-9600 元/人/年 for master's and doctoral students), which are recorded under otherCosts. The 费用缴纳 (Payment) page on the same site lists the payment account, tuition and accommodation only and states no application fee of its own; the 800 CNY figure comes from the brochures.

Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

Xidian University (西安电子科技大学) publishes its dated international admission window in two places that agree in substance but differ by two days in one figure. The 招生简章 hub on the School of International Education site (sie.xidian.edu.cn/lhlx/zsjz.htm) carries a standing announcement, in Chinese and English, reading: 公告:2026年所有招生项目第一批申请截止于3月1日,第二批申请截止于5月15日 / 'For all enrollment programs in 2026, the first round of applications closes on March 1st, and the second round closes on May 15th' — a two-round 2026 schedule. The five 2026 programme brochures attached to the same page each set out a three-round table instead, all in Beijing time: round one closes 2026年3月1日 with interviews 2-7 March 2026 and offers issued 14 March 2026; round two closes 2026年5月17日 with interviews 18-22 May 2026 and offers 29 May 2026; round three closes 2026年7月1日 with interviews 6-10 July 2026 and offers 17 July 2026. The brochures carry the binding per-programme detail, so the accurate round-two closing date is 17 May 2026 and the hub banner's 15 May is a discrepancy on the university's own site; the brochures also state *中国政府奖学金申请者仅可在第一批次申请 — Chinese Government Scholarship applicants may apply in round one only, i.e. by 1 March 2026. All three rounds of the 2026/2027 intake have closed as of 30 September 2026, and the recorded hub review did not establish a 2027/2028 notice or brochure. The hub read on October 3, 2026 still displayed the five 2026 brochures and 2026 announcement; this does not establish absence from every university source. Two scholarship deadlines are stated separately on the scholarship pages. The Huashan Scholarship (西安电子科技大学华山奖学金) page gives an undated recurring 申请截止日期:6月10日 (10 June); this does not confirm a 2027 call or its availability. The Shaanxi Sanqin Foreign Student Scholarship (陕西省三秦外国留学生奖学金) page gives 申请截止日期:9月30日(过期不予受理)— 30 September, and the 30 September 2026 cutoff had passed by the 2 October verification date. The page is undated for a cycle and does not state which intake it serves or when that intake's window opens. No Shaanxi provincial or Xi'an municipal deadline for the 三秦 or 西安市“一带一路” awards is otherwise dated: the Xi'an Belt and Road scholarship page at sie.xidian.edu.cn/lhlx/zsjz/jxj/xas_ydyl_wglxsjxj.htm renders with an empty body. The university's own CSC page (中国政府奖学金) names no deadline, stating only 具体申请时间请径与有关中国高等学校查询 (ask the university for the timing); the 1 March 2026 deadline applies to the 2026 brochure route only. Because the latest cycle established in the reviewed hub records is the closed 2026 one, the window above combines the closed 2026 dates with the undated recurring scholarship cut-offs and is therefore an approximation for any intake after 2026/2027. The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship page located is from 2019, and the Xi’an municipal scholarship page has no body; neither confirms current-cycle funding.

Master’s admission; partial procedure

Prepare original qualification scan and notarization, passport valid at least two years, language evidence, six-month medical/police records, at least 800-word statement, CNY 30,000 financial guarantee, three-to-five-minute introduction video and Xidian supervisor acceptance. The fee table lists CNY 800 but supplies no payment sequence or application portal. The master’s PDF specifies March 1, May 17 and July 1 deadlines, with interviews March 2–7, May 18–22 and July 6–10. CSC applicants may use only the first round. The general index instead says May 15 for round two; this conflict remains explicit.

Reference: 2026 master’s; March 1, May 17 and July 1 rounds, closed. Confirm the latest notice for the same course and route before applying.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10701. For Type B, match it to Xidian University in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
