This guide brings together the application routes, published timing, submission methods, scholarship steps, documents, and source links recorded for Xinjiang University. Requirements can differ by degree, program, teaching language, and funding route. The university’s current notice controls the application.

Funding route on this profile

The profile includes CSC-related application guidance for Xinjiang University. Type B participation, eligible programs, and deadlines must be confirmed in the current university call.

Application fee

The application-fee status has not been verified for the current route. The 2026 self-funded brochure lists a CNY 400 registration fee per occasion (注册费400元人民币/次), without stating payment timing. It does not establish an application-submission fee. Separate 2026 scholarships exempt award holders from registration and other covered charges; those awards do not establish that every scholarship applicant is application-fee exempt.

Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

Xinjiang University's dated 2026 self-financed degree and CSC application windows described below have closed. Its separate March 2027 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship route has a 31 October 2026 cutoff. Self-financed applicants had an online application window of 1 March 2026 to 15 May 2026 (网上申请:2026年3月1日-2026年5月15日) with qualification review running alongside it, degrees enrolling only in September (秋季学期:9月1日-30日入学, 学历生只在9月入学). The Chinese Government Scholarship High Level Postgraduate Programme 2026 closed for online applications on 8 February 2026, with college interviews 9 February to 15 March 2026 and recommended candidates reported 16-31 March 2026; the parallel Chinese Government Scholarship Provincial and Ministerial Co-construction Programme 2026 carried the identical 8 February 2026 deadline and interview schedule. The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Government Scholarship for students from neighbouring countries 2026 closed on 31 May 2026, with interviews 1-15 June 2026. The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship had a 15 May 2026 deadline for September 2026 entry and a 31 October 2026 deadline for March 2027 entry — the only window in this list still open as at 17 September 2026, though it is set by the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation and the notice says the centre's finally published date governs. That March 2027 deadline was independently re-confirmed on 23 September 2026 and again on 24 September 2026 against the university's own 新疆大学国际中文教师奖学金招生简章(2026年) at https://gjjl.xju.edu.cn/info/1015/2558.htm, which states 2027年3月入学:截止日期为10月31日(以语合中心最终公布日期为准) and publishes the award's coverage as 学费、住宿费(免费双人间)、生活费(四周研修生除外)和综合医疗保险费, with the application route opening on chinese.cn from 1 March 2026 and the one-semester visiting-student track running at HSK Level 3 (180) plus an HSKK score. The official 2026 measures issued by the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation set the same 31 October 2026 student deadline for March 2027 entry, with recommending and host institutions reviewing by 10 November 2026. This is a scholarship deadline, not an admission deadline, and it does not by itself show that any self-financed degree intake is open. For self-financed students a new window for the 2027 intake has not been published; the most recent self-financed notice is the 2026 brochure, so the recurring pattern is an application window opening in early March and closing in mid-May. The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship one-semester March 2027 route is open through 31 October 2026; earlier 2026 rounds are closed. Keep this date scoped to that award, not general admission or CSC.

Guide scope reviewed 3 October 2026. Dates apply only to the intake and route named in each notice.

Read the university's procedure
  1. 1

    Choose your program and intake

Check Xinjiang University's current prospectus for your degree, teaching language, eligibility and deadline. Arrange supervisor contact or pre-admission first when the program requires it.

    Read official admission instructions
  2. 2

    Prepare your documents

Use the checklist below, then compare it with your program's required documents. Prepare any signed forms, translations and referee submissions before starting the final application.

  3. 3

    Complete the university application

Use the official application link and complete the fields required for your route. Submit documents only through the channel and at the stage stated in the current notice. Pay a charge only when instructed; retain any submission confirmation the system provides.

  4. 4

    Review your offer and costs

Check tuition, accommodation, insurance, payment deadlines and any financial-guarantee requirement. Accept the offer through the university's stated process. A CSC application is not part of a purely self-funded route.

  5. 5

Track decisions and respond to requests

Check your portal and email for missing-document requests, interviews and results. If a form is returned, correct it and resubmit. Keep admission and scholarship decisions separate; follow the final offer for acceptance, registration and original-document checks.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

Application templates
How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.
