Application timing and source scope

Yanshan University's 2026 International Students Admission Guide publishes an APPLICATION DEADLINES (申请时限) table for the 2026 intake: self-funded language applicants close 15 December for the spring semester and 15 June for the fall semester; self-funded degree-programme applicants have no spring window (not available) and close 15 June for the fall semester; Yanshan University President's Scholarship applicants have no spring window and close 30 May for the fall semester; Chinese Government Scholarship applicants follow the dates announced by the China Scholarship Council and the Center for Language Education and Cooperation. Separately, the 2026 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship brochure (燕山大学2026年国际中文教师奖学金招生简章), a university-hosted PDF read on the same date, sets four intakes: July admission closes 15 April, September admission closes 15 May, December admission closes 15 September, and March 2027 admission closes 31 October with recommending/host institution review closing 10 November. The 2027 spring language-programme window in the general guide (15 December) is a future closing date published in the 2026 guide, not a notice that a 2026/2027 spring window has opened. The September 2026 and December 2026 CLEC intakes have closed; the March 2027 CLEC window closing 31 October 2026 was still open at the date of this check. The 2026/2027 Belt and Road Outstanding International Students Program brochure (published 1 June 2026) names its fees and grant rates but states no cut-off date. A separate 2026/2027 CSC High-Level Postgraduate call was published on 22 October 2025: university application closed 9 January 2026, and nominated candidates' final CSC resubmission closed 5 March 2026. It supports master's/doctoral study, agency 10216, with submissions in https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn and https://admission.ysu.edu.cn. This round is closed and is not a 2027/2028 deadline. No current Hebei Provincial Government Scholarship application deadline was established; those are administered by annual review, most recently the 2025-2026 review notice of 7 September 2026, which required paper submissions to the 13th cluster activity room 202 on 14 September 2026 between 09:00-11:30 and 15:00-17:30 Beijing time.

Recorded CSC agency number; confirm it in the current CSC call: 10216

Guide scope reviewed 3 October 2026. Dates apply only to the intake and route named in each notice.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.

  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.
