Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

The retained legacy Zhengzhou University international-site record gives a Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) rule of January 1st to March 30th each year: the Chinese University Program (Type B) runs between January and early April, with the specific online application deadline at the end of March and paper-based applications due April 10th. These are undated or legacy timing statements, not a confirmed 2026/2027 closure. The separately reviewed legacy Type B FAQ gives March 10 each year, conflicting with March 30/April 10 timing. No current university-issued call resolving that difference was verified; confirm the deadline for the chosen route before using any of these dates. Applicants for the CSC Type A Bilateral Program must apply through the Chinese Embassy in their own country, and ZZU issues an Acceptance Letter only to applicants who submit to the Embassy; the current Embassy-set window was not established in the university material reviewed. For self-funded applicants no dated annual closing date was verified in the reviewed sources: the university states that all applications and supporting documents must be submitted through the online application system by the appropriate closing date and that there are two to three rounds of selections in April to May, June, and July respectively. Deadlines for self-funded admission are therefore stated as selection rounds rather than a fixed calendar date, and it is an approximation rather than a dated notice for a named intake. A separate official English-medium medical master’s page published 13 October 2024 gives January–June annually with September entry. This is standing historical guidance, not a dated 2027 call.

Apply through ZZU’s online system with the degree-student form, passport, bachelor’s qualification or pre-graduation proof, transcripts, physical examination and police record. Translate non-Chinese/English documents and notarize translations. Review starts after the complete file; the university may request supplements and assesses academic results and English. Successful applicants usually receive admission/visa papers within 15 working days after approval. Use these for the visa and bring qualification/transcript originals for registration. Eligibility requires a medical bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and age under 45. For English eligibility, applicants must be from an English-speaking country or have IELTS 6.5/TOEFL 90 (or equivalent). 4. 4

    Review your offer and costs

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10459. For Type B, match it to Zhengzhou University in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.
