Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

For the 2026 intake the self-funded international admission window ran from publication of the 2026 annual guide (即日起, published 2026-06-03) until 2026年6月30日; that 2026 cycle is now closed, since today is 2026-09-23. The Chinese original of the 2026 guide states 即日起至2026年6月30日, and the separate 2026-07-24 process notice generalises this as 申请截止日期为每年6月30日 (each year's deadline is 30 June), with scholarship applicants following their sponsoring scheme's own rules instead. The English half of the same 2026 guide page mistranslates the closing date as 'From now until June 20, 2026'; the Chinese text on that page and the Chinese and English text of the 2026-07-24 process notice all say 30 June, so 30 June is the operative date and 20 June is a translation error on the university's own page. No separate university-scholarship deadline, CSC-system deadline or provincial-scholarship deadline is published in either page: the guides describe the 内蒙古自治区人民政府奖学金 only as a programme the university participates in, with no date given. No 2027 intake notice exists as of 2026-09-23 — the 招生信息 (Admission) listing page at https://dice.imust.edu.cn/index/l1/xxzkd/zsxx.htm carries only the 2026 annual guide (2026-06-03), the 2026-07-24 process notice, and a historical 2021-2022 Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Government Scholarship guide (published 2022-06-10), so the next-intake window is not yet published. Because the 2026 window has closed and no 2027 notice is published, applications are not currently open.

Guide scope reviewed 3 October 2026. Dates apply only to the intake and route named in each notice.

Degree self-funded application procedure

The July 24, 2026 process notice requires emailing one-major applications to is@imust.edu.cn by June 30 annually; scholarship applicants follow their own scheme. Include passport/photo, notarized academic records, six-month medical and police evidence, language proof, financial evidence and a study plan: bachelor 500, master 1,000, doctoral 1,500 words. Graduates need two academic references and research achievements. Bachelor CSCA subjects vary by discipline. Document review precedes a 10–20-minute online interview; masters also take a knowledge test, doctoral applicants a supervisor-group interview and academic defence. Confirm pre-admission by its deadline to receive emailed offer/visa documents. Pay tuition and present originals at registration. No application-fee amount is stated.

  4. 4

    Review your offer and costs

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
