Application fee

CNY 400 (registration/enrolment fee, paid at the time of application) The 2026 brochure lists a 报名注册费 (registration and enrolment fee) of RMB 400, payable at the time of application ('报名注册费:400元(报名时交纳)'). The brochure does not state whether this fee is refundable. It is separate from tuition, which the brochure says is paid after arrival at the university ('学费及住宿费等相关费用到校后支付'), and is listed in a different section from the 学费 (tuition) and 住宿费 (accommodation) tables. The university's own self-established scholarship is described as covering this same 400 Yuan registration fee in its top (full-scholarship) tier.

Published dates and unconfirmed windows

Application timing and source scope

Putian University's 2026 来华留学生招生简章, published 2 April 2026, states a single combined application cut-off of 15 May for both language (non-degree) students and bachelor's degree students — '语言生、本科生:5月15日前提交申请'. The notice is scoped throughout to a September 2026 start, requires a passport valid beyond 30 December 2026, and requires a physical examination record and a police clearance certificate both dated after 1 March 2026, so the cut-off applies to the 2026 intake. The notice explicitly adds that applicants submitting after the deadline must first contact the admissions teacher and may only submit materials once approved ('如果您在报名截止时间后申请,请先联系招生老师,经同意后方可提交相关材料'). That 15 May 2026 window has now closed as of 17 September 2026. No notice for a 2027 intake and no separately dated university-scholarship or CSC deadline is published on the site; the scholarship section describes a yearly selection (每年评选一次) tied to the admission decision rather than to an independent date. The university is not a CSC host institution, so no CSC deadline applies.

Guide scope reviewed 3 October 2026. Dates apply only to the intake and route named in each notice.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
