Application fee

CNY 400 QUST charges an application fee (报名费) of CNY 400. Its own Study Costs page (留学费用, cic.qust.edu.cn/zsxx/lxfy.htm) publishes a registration-fee column reading 「本科生 400元 / 硕士研究生 400元 / 博士研究生 400元」 and a long-term Chinese-language class column reading 「长期班 1学期 报名费 400元 学费 7000元」, with the note 「无论审核结果如何,报名费用均不退还」 — the fee is not refunded whatever the review outcome. The 2026 Autumn Semester Chinese Language Trainee Brochure repeats it in its document list: 「4.申请费400元」 and states 「申请费不予退还」. The Shandong Provincial Government Scholarship and the Enterprise Scholarship both state that they cover 免交报名费 (waive the registration fee), which confirms CNY 400 is a real charge for other applicants. This is the application fee and not tuition: the same page publishes tuition separately at CNY 17,000-20,500 per year for bachelor's, CNY 20,500-24,600 per year for master's and CNY 26,000-31,600 per year for doctoral study, which are recorded under tuition below.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.
