- CSC agency number
- The 2026 CSC High-Level Postgraduate Program opened November 1, 2025. Its Chinese notice gives February 20, 2026 while the same-day English notice gives February 15, 2026; both dates are closed and the conflict is unresolved. The notice identifies Type B and agency number 10070.
- Scholarship
- Type B is a full scholarship with a monthly living allowance of CNY 3,000 for master's students and CNY 3,500 for doctoral students; the study period is three years and recipients may not in principle change their major or study period.
- Verified fact
- The university states it has enrolled international students since 1996 and has welcomed over 10,000 students from more than 60 countries and regions.
- Programmes
- The 2026 brochures give June 15 for undergraduate applications and May 30 for master's and doctoral applications; these are closed historical dates. Only the Chinese-language brochure states the preceding-year December 15 spring/current-year June 15 autumn pattern. No 2027 degree notice was found; do not apply the language spring rule to bachelor's study.
- Tuition
- Degree programme tuition includes the insurance premium: CNY 16,600 per year for non-art bachelor's, CNY 20,000 per year for art bachelor's, CNY 26,000 per year for master's and CNY 30,000 per year for doctoral programmes. The Chinese language programme is CNY 7,000 per semester.
- Accommodation
- Accommodation in the international student residence is charged at CNY 24 or 36 per day on an annual settlement, CNY 28 or 42 per day per semester, or CNY 40 or 60 per day on a daily basis.
- Application fee
- Applicants for the Chinese Government Scholarship Type A route submit their application on the TUFE system with no application fee payable, obtain a pre-admission letter, then file on the CSC portal at studyinchina.csc.edu.cn under programme category Type A with TUFE as first choice; the pre-admission letter does not constitute admission.
- Application deadline
- Bachelor's programme applicants must provide a CSCA (China Scholastic Competency Assessment) score report covering Chinese and mathematics before the application deadline; master's applicants need HSK level 5 at 180 or above and bachelor's applicants HSK level 4 at 180 or above.
- Age requirement
- Age limits for the CSC Type A route: bachelor's applicants under 25, master's under 35, doctoral under 40, general scholars under 45 and senior scholars under 50.
- Deposit
- Financial-support proof requirements differ by level: a bank deposit statement of no less than CNY 30,000 for Chinese language applicants and no less than CNY 50,000 for degree applicants.
- Physical examination
- All applicants must provide a notarised highest-degree certificate, full academic transcripts, a study plan of at least 200 words for undergraduates, 500 for non-degree scholars and 800 for postgraduates, two academic recommendation letters valid for one year for master's, doctoral and senior scholar applicants, the Foreigner Physical Examination Form with laboratory, ECG and chest X-ray reports, and a certificate of no criminal record generally issued within six months.
- Entry requirements
- The university states that scholarship applicants must apply directly and that applications submitted through intermediary agencies will have their scholarship eligibility cancelled.
- Language requirement
- The Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarship at TUFE is administered by the International Education College for undergraduate and master's students, with first prize of CNY 34,800 per person per year and second prize of CNY 20,000 for undergraduates, and first prize of CNY 47,800 and second prize of CNY 30,000 for master's students, taught in Chinese and requiring HSK 4 for undergraduates and HSK 5 for master's applicants.
- Intake
- The college also publishes its own Tianjin University of Finance and Economics International Student Scholarship and a per-semester academic scholarship for enrolled students.
