Application fee

The application-fee status has not been verified for the current route. No application fee is published. XAUAT's own complete 2026 fee schedule, 收费标准 (Tuition & Fees (CNY), dated 26 June 2026), lists only tuition of CNY 16,000/year (science and engineering) and CNY 15,000/year (liberal arts) for undergraduates, CNY 20,000/year (science and engineering) and CNY 18,000/year (liberal arts) for master's, and CNY 25,000/year for doctoral students; accommodation of CNY 3,000/semester or CNY 6,000/year; insurance of CNY 400–500/semester or CNY 800–1,000/year; physical examination of CNY 400–500/year; and visa transfer of CNY 400/year. No application, registration or handling charge appears. The 申请流程 (application process) page, revised 26 June 2026, lists the document checklist and the online application system and states no fee, and the 奖学金 page states none either. Because the university does not state that applying is free, the application fee is recorded as unknown rather than confirmed-free; the tuition figures above are annual and must never be published as an application fee.

Application timing and source scope

Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (西安建筑科技大学) publishes dated admission stages through its School of International Education notice column (sie.xauat.edu.cn/index/tzgg.htm) rather than on a standalone admissions page. For the 2026/2027 intake the school posted 西安建筑科技大学2026年国际学生招生简章 (XAUAT 2026 International Student Admission Brochure) on 10 March 2026, whose body — reached through the notice link, which renders as a WeChat article — instructs applicants to create an account on the XAUAT online application system (xauat.at0086.cn) and upload the ten required documents 2026年6月30日前 (before 30 June 2026), with the English text stating 'upload following documents before June 30, 2026'. That deadline has now closed. The immediately preceding edition, the 2025 brochure posted 11 March 2025 on sie.xauat.edu.cn, set the same pattern with an upload deadline of 30 June 2025 for the 2025/2026 intake — also closed. Beyond this single 30 June cut-off per year, the school publishes no separate self-funded, university-scholarship, provincial-scholarship or CSC deadline: its 招生简章 section is a stub, its 申请流程 page (revised 26 June 2026) sets out eligibility by degree level and the document checklist but names no closing date, and its 奖学金 page (25 June 2026) lists five awards without deadlines. A search of the notice column found only holiday, safety, registration and graduation items after March 2026 — including a 2026 autumn international-student registration guide dated 6 September 2026 — and no 2027/2028 admission brochure of any kind. XAUAT does not appear on the CSC host-institution list and publishes no agency number, so the field is omitted. The June 30, 2026 cutoff is historical and closed. No dated 2027/28 opening or closing date was verified; linked current-cycle source retrieval was blocked and official index copies conflict. Do not project June 30 to the next cycle.

Guide scope reviewed 3 October 2026. Dates apply only to the intake and route named in each notice.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.
