Application dates, fees and sources

The China Conservatory of Music (中国音乐学院) publishes a separate dated registration window for each degree level rather than one common deadline, and all 2026 windows have closed. The 2026年留学生本科招生简章 (undergraduate prospectus) states 报名时间:2026年1月13日——2026年1月20日, with the second and third examination rounds held at the conservatory at 1 Anxiang Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing on dates announced separately and admission letters posted in early July 2026. The 2026年留学生硕士研究生招生简章 (master's prospectus, published 20 December 2025) states 报名时间:2025年12月20日至2026年01月15日, with examinations in March to April 2026 and admission letters in early July 2026. The 2026年留学生博士研究生招生简章 (doctoral prospectus, published 26 January 2026) states 报名时间:2026年2月23日-3月9日, with materials for postal applicants due by 1 March 2026, and admission letters in early July 2026. All three 2026 windows are therefore closed and no 2027 intake notice had been published on the conservatory's international students page as of 17 September 2026, its most recent listing being the 2026 doctoral prospectus of 26 January 2026. Applicants register by submitting materials to the International Students Office of the International Exchange Department; no separate Chinese Government Scholarship or Beijing Government Scholarship deadline is published on the conservatory's own pages, and its two scholarship pages describe the awards without giving an application window.

For China Conservatory of Music, refer to the current official admissions notice for opening and closing dates by program and intake. Dates from a previous intake should not be used as the next intake's deadline. Directory-wide opening checks were last completed September 14, 2026.

Fee note: The application fee is CNY 800 (报名费:800元人民币) at every degree level, stated identically in all three of the conservatory's own 2026 international student prospectuses. Each adds that submitted works, articles and the application fee are not refunded whether or not the applicant sits the examination (考生所提交作品、文章等材料和报名费等,不论参加考试与否,均不予退还), and the fee is not refunded to applicants who withdraw (弃考). This CNY 800 is the one-off application fee only and is not tuition; the same prospectuses separately give tuition of CNY 32,000 per year for undergraduates, CNY 38,000 per year for master's students and CNY 42,000 per year for doctoral students, which is recorded under tuition.

    Read official admission instructions
  4. 4

    Review your offer and costs

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

Application templates
How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.
