Scope: International admissions evidence combines newly read 2026–2027 brochures and the March 2027 ICLTS semester track with separately attributed historical standing pages. Exact source-specific dates, fees and online procedures are published in the recovered image/PDF bodies. The old FAQ retains a 2016 reference and is historical; it does not establish current fees, housing or 2027/28 general admissions.. See the recorded official notices and any source qualifications below.
- CSC agency number
- 10602, stated on the Apply Now page of GXNU's official English admissions portal in the Chinese Government Scholarship section: 'Applicants should apply for the scholarship to GXNU online. Please register online at: http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/, submit your application, and then download and print the application in duplicate. The application form can be written in Chinese or English. Our university code is 10602.'
- CSC participation
- Guangxi Normal University was approved in 2006 by China's Ministry of Education as one of the universities receiving international students under the Chinese Government Scholarship programme, as stated on the Apply Now page.
- Application fee
- The 2026–2027 general degree brochure lists a one-time CNY 400 application fee. The 2026 ICLTS and dedicated master’s/doctoral university-scholarship guides require CNY 400 during online submission before document review and state that it is non-refundable. The separate MOE–Guangxi ASEAN brochure does not specify a fee rule. The older effective-from 2000 self-funded fee schedule listed CNY 400–750 per person/year; it is historical tariff evidence, not the current blanket charge.
- Tuition and accommodation payment terms
- The 2026–2027 general brochure lists annual undergraduate tuition: business/humanities CNY 14,000; science/engineering CNY 16,000; arts CNY 21,000. Master’s: business/humanities CNY 18,000; science/engineering CNY 20,000; arts CNY 27,000. Doctoral: humanities CNY 22,000; science/engineering CNY 25,000; arts CNY 33,000. Accommodation is CNY 3,700/5,000/8,400 per person per academic year by room/building; entry/graduation years are charged half and one-semester study half. These dated rates do not establish a 2027/28 tariff. Historical FAQ semester-payment/no-room-refund rules should be reconfirmed; they are not the newer brochure’s annual accommodation rule.
- Scholarship application guides published
- The current official bulletin includes 2026 dated full guides: the MOE–Guangxi ASEAN scholarship (April 9), university master’s/doctoral scholarship, ICLTS and autumn language programmes (March 17), general 2026–2027 admissions (February 4), andPresident scholarship (January 10). The ICLTSguide includes the March 2027 semester deadlineOctober 31, 2026. Older 2025/2024 CSC and ASEAN guides remain separate historical records; their publication does not establish 2027/28 general admission dates.
- Scholarship responsibilities by officer
- The admissions office contact block names the staff responsible for each scheme, confirming which awards GXNU recruits under: one officer handles Guangxi Normal University President Scholarship students, self-funded degree students and language students, and another handles Chinese Government Scholarship, International Chinese Language Scholarship and Guangxi Government Scholarship recruitment.
- Language requirements
- The 2026–2027 general brochure’s Chinese text requires HSK 4 for non-Chinese-language majors; its English text calls these “non-Chinese-taught” programmes, so confirm the intended programme-specific interpretation withGXNU. Chinese-medium postgraduate eligibility also generally requires HSK 4. The separate university master’s/doctoral award requires HSK 5 ≥180 for Chinese instruction orIELTS 6/equivalent for English instruction. The 2026 autumn non-degree language programme admits high-school graduates aged at least 18 with no prior Chinese required. Historical beginner-bachelor wording does not replace currentCSCA requirements.
- Application materials
- The 2026–2027 general degree procedure requires online scans only and expressly says not to post hard copies. Required documents include the university form, passport copy/scan, notarized qualifications/transcripts, medical form and police certificate. Undergraduates additionally need CSCA results; postgraduates need two associate-professor-or-higher recommendations and a research proposal, with language evidence as specified. The older standing page’s two-copy checklist is historical. Scholarship and language calls have separate checklists.
