Application dates, fees and sources

Named intakes for 2026 and 2026/2027, read from the university's official English admissions site (eng.hubu.edu.cn). Hubei University publishes its dated windows through scholarship notices rather than through a single self-funded admission guide. The decisive current document is the 2026 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship notice, 湖北大学国际中文教师奖学金申请办法(2026年) / 2026 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship Open for Application, published under Admission > Scholarships on 2 April 2026. Its section 四、截止日期(以北京时间为准)APPLICATION DEADLINE gives four separately dated entry deadlines, each tied to a named intake: July Entry closes April 10; September Entry closes May 10; December Entry closes September 10; and March 2027 Entry closes October 10. Applications for this 2026 round opened on 4 March 2026 and are submitted via chinese.cn and the Hubei University application portal. Of these, the July 2026, September 2026 and December 2026 entries have closed. The notice was reopened directly on 30 September 2026 and still carries the same four deadlines, so the March 2027 entry (deadline October 10, 2026) is the only one still open as at that check. The scholarship itself carries admission dates of September 2026 for the one-academic-year and one-year study programmes, September 2026 or March 2027 for the one-semester programme, and July or December 2026 for the four-week programme, with a further documentation requirement dated September 1, 2026 for the age criterion. The university's centrepiece CSC route, the Chinese Government Scholarship High Level Postgraduate Program (中国政府奖学金“高水平研究生”项目), is announced on the same Scholarships board but its most recent published edition is the 2024 round of 30 November 2023, and the Type B notice on that board dates from 9 March 2022; neither carries a current-intake deadline, and the CSC instructions page for applicants is a standing page dated 30 August 2019. No dated self-funded admission window and no 2027 CSC notice had been published as of 30 September 2026, so the next CSC window is not yet dated.

Hubei University's application window above was checked against its official admission notice (last check October 2, 2026). Windows can close early when seats fill: confirm on the official portal before relying on a date.

    Read official admission instructions
  4. 4

    Complete the university application

Use the official application link and complete the fields required for your route. Submit documents only through the channel and at the stage stated in the current notice. Pay a charge only when instructed; retain any submission confirmation the system provides.

Document checklist and upload instructions

Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:

  • Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
  • Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
  • Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
  • Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
  • Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.

Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

Application templates
How to fill the university application

Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.

  1. Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
  2. Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
  3. Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
  4. Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
  5. Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
  1. Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
  2. Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
  3. Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
  4. Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
  5. Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.

University agency number on record: 10512. For Type B, match it to Hubei University in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.

Hubei University CSC scholarship FAQ

Does Hubei University accept CSC Type B applications?

Hubei University appears in our directory based on prior CSC host or program evidence. For 2027-2028 Type B participation, consult the university's current international-admissions notice and confirm the application channel and Agency Number before applying.

Is the CSC scholarship at Hubei University fully funded?

A full Chinese Government Scholarship normally covers tuition, accommodation or a housing subsidy, medical insurance, and a monthly stipend. That does not prove Hubei University will offer a full Type B award in 2027-2028: some routes are partial or unavailable, so confirm the current notice and your final award letter.

What is the application deadline for Hubei University?

The latest official information checked September 30, 2026 says: Named intakes for 2026 and 2026/2027, read from the university's official English admissions site (eng.hubu.edu.cn). Check the current notice for your degree, route, and intake before applying.

What can I study at Hubei University on a CSC scholarship?

Fields listed for Hubei University in Wuhan, Hubei include School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Life Sciences, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, School of Literature.
