Founded in 1985 with roots going back to 1951, Tibet University is the only Double First-Class university in the Tibet Autonomous Region, and its Ecology discipline was selected for the national world-class discipline program in 2017 and 2022. International students apply by email, enroll for the fall semester only, and need a Tibet Entrance Permit arranged after arriving in mainland China.
