Complete both Huaqiao’s university portal and CSC by May 15, 2026. Select the Silk Road scholarship in Huaqiao’s system and Type B, agency 10385, in CSC. The call requires both filings without a fixed first-system order. University eligibility/material assessment precedes recommendation to CSC; final selection precedes admission and visa documents. Countries, degree entry and award scope

The ten eligible citizenships are Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mongolia and Angola. Five bachelor majors are Civil Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, and Architecture. Applicants generally need age ≤25, high-school graduation and HSK 3≥180; HSK 4 is preferred. Degree entry requires HSK 5≥180 plus the printed CSCA Professional Chinese/Mathematics threshold of 50; otherwise a funded preparatory year precedes degree study. Annual review controls continuation. The award covers tuition, accommodation, CNY 2,500/month and insurance CNY 800/year; no separate application-fee amount is printed.

Application evidence and original verification

Upload passport expiring after 2028, clear photo, certified/notarized high-school qualification and yearly transcripts with required translations, national examination results, valid two-year HSK report, CSCA Professional Chinese and Mathematics results, one reference, medical examination valid six months, police proof or undertaking, and personal statement. Add minor guardianship and former-Chinese/Chinese-parent nationality/residence evidence where applicable. Retain originals for arrival checks. Scholarship selection is competitive; passing university screening does not guarantee CSC approval.

September 2026 bachelor/year/semester scholarship filing

From March 1, 2026 create an ICLTS application at chinese.cn, choose a recommender and Huaqiao as host, upload the file and submit. Also file in Huaqiao’s university portal; this notice does not fix a first-system order. Student applications close May 15; recommender/university reviews close May 25. Track review comments/results; CLEC expert selection precedes host confirmation and arrival by the admission letter. Funding covers tuition, housing, insurance and CNY 2,500/month for the listed categories. Bachelor awards require annual review. September 2026 eligibility and supporting documents

The school offered four-year International Chinese Language Education bachelor, eleven-month language study and five-month International Chinese Education study. Ages are 16–30 as of September 1, 2026; bachelor CN generally ≤22 conflicts with EN under 22. Bachelor entry requires high school, HSK 5 ≥180 and HSKK intermediate ≥60; year study HSK 3 ≥210 with HSKK preferred; semester HSK 3 ≥180 and HSKK. Upload passport, valid two-year HSK/HSKK, recommender-head reference, six-month medical evidence and minor guardian proof; bachelor adds qualification/transcripts and CSCA humanities Chinese/mathematics. Generally, year/semester applicants cannot have received a similar scholarship in the past three years. An omitted fee does not prove a waiver.

Overseas-Chinese bachelor award with return-service commitment

Contact the home-country Chinese embassy/consulate or delegated school/institution and also submit Huaqiao’s portal file. This overseas-Chinese award requires high school and commitment to four years’ home-country Chinese teaching after graduation, under a signed service agreement. Intro says under 35 but eligibility says ≤35; confirm the boundary. Upload passport/photo, certified academic records with Chinese translations, plan/reference, police evidence, guardian proof if minor, award form and service agreement. Foreign citizens add Chinese-proficiency evidence, medical report after February 2026, CSCA and applicable nationality records. The award exempts registration, tuition and housing and provides a living subsidy; books, food, insurance, medical and visa costs remain personal. No universal fee-refund rule is printed.

In-service teachers and Chinese Bridge recipients

In-service Chinese teachers add employment proof and an employer reference, with priority under equal conditions. Chinese Bridge scholarship-certificate holders apply through the ICLTS system using their award certificate and submit materials to the intended host. These provisions do not establish current March 2027 acceptance.

Chinese-passport residence evidence and certification

For Chinese-passport overseas-Chinese applicants and a qualifying parent, the 2026 guide requires permanent/long-term residence and two continuous years abroad with at least 18 months’ actual residence; alternatively, five years’ legal residence with at least 30 months abroad. The applicant’s actual residence must fall within the two/five years before filing. Study abroad and official postings do not count as overseas-Chinese residence under this guide. Provide applicant/parent passports and residence records, relationship proof, applicable identity cards and official entry/exit records. Foreign-issued documents require Chinese embassy certification/notarization or the applicable Apostille pathway; non-Chinese versions need qualified Chinese translation. University undergraduate/pre-university filing

The December 6, 2025 prospectus accepted applications from publication until May 31, 2026 in Huaqiao’s portal. Choose a programme, upload the required file and follow review feedback; incomplete materials within the stated period are treated as withdrawn. The university may conduct additional assessment and verifies identity/health at arrival. Check the programme’s HSK rules and special nationality requirements before filing. Admission/award status and visa-document instructions follow selection. No separate application-fee amount is printed for this route; this does not make all Huaqiao programmes free.

Application checklist and feedback

Prepare a clear one-inch photo, passport valid in 2028 or later, certified/notarized high-school diploma and yearly transcripts, national/standard-test scores, required translations, one reference, language evidence, medical report dated after February 2026 and signed Huaqiao commitment. Add nationality/residence evidence for former-Chinese/Chinese-parent cases. CSCA is essential for CSC assessment: mathematics for all majors, programme-specific Chinese exemptions and at least one physics/chemistry subject in principle for science/engineering/agriculture/medicine. Monitor portal review, respond to requests and retain originals. The prospectus schedules electronic admission/visa documents; later arrival instructions govern reporting and document collection.

Non-degree language route and registration payment

Apply in Huaqiao’s portal with photo, passport, high-school qualification/transcripts and medical evidence valid six months. This September 2026 semester/year route generally accepts ages 18–22. Track review, then use admission/DQ or JW202 evidence for the appropriate study visa and report as instructed. The bilingual guide charges tuition CNY 15,000/year or 7,500/semester and CNY 500 registration on arrival, waived for returning students. Longzhouchi four/six-person housing is CNY 2,400/1,600 yearly or 1,200/800 per semester. Textbooks cost CNY 400–600; the stated residence-permit CNY 400/year is an immigration charge, not an application fee. Payment at registration allows UnionPay, WeChat, Alipay or cash. Refund rules are not printed.

Tuition prepayment, accommodation and collected costs

The reporting date was September 12, 2026. Accepted self-funded students could prepay first-year tuition through the notice’s linked finance system by that date; listed fully funded scholarship students did not need that online tuition payment. Confirm passport/name or admission number, programme and bill before paying; overseas bank-card service fees may apply. Accommodation is payable after reporting/room assignment, and roughly CNY 2,000 textbook, insurance and medical costs after reporting under the college notice. The arrival PDF’s Xiamen housing rates differ from the prospectus; confirm the actual bill.
