Admissions timeline
CSC/CGS planning season: general government guidance describes September through the following March, but this is not a deadline for every route. Check the current embassy, dispatching-authority or university notice for the exact opening, submission stages and closing date.
Typical intake: September; some universities offer a smaller March intake.
We have not yet hand-checked a current application window for Nantong University, so no status pill is shown. Absence from our verified list does not mean closed: confirm on the official admission notice. Verified windows sitewide were last checked September 14, 2026.
CSC application deadline
For the 2026 intake the general self-funded application window published in the 2026 Admission Guide for International Applicants is 1 January 2026 – 30 June 2026 (申请时间:1月1日-6月30日). The separate 2026 Chinese Language Program has its own window of 12 May 2026 – 10 July 2026, with study running 14 September 2026 – 15 January 2027, and the guide states accommodation is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. The 2026 guide states the Chinese Government Scholarship (Type B) application time as November to the following March, and the Nantong University Scholarship application time as January to June; the university's own scholarship page states a slightly wider window of November to June of the following year, so the two university-published statements do not agree exactly. All 2026 windows have closed and no notice for the 2027 intake has been published as of 14 September 2026. The guide states that only one type of scholarship may be held at a time and that scholarship holders must pass an annual review to continue receiving the award in the following year.
Source status: official notice from the most recently verified cycle; checked September 14, 2026.
Deadline directory reviewed 8 August 2026. The 2027-2028 cycle is not yet published for most universities, so older dates are labelled as prior-cycle evidence or typical planning windows. Confirm the exact program and scholarship deadline on the official portal before applying.

Application fee
The 2026 Admission Guide for International Applicants states in its fees section: "The application fee of 600 RMB is non-refundable once paid"; the Chinese page of the same guide says "申请费 600 元人民币一经支付,一律不予退还". The fee is charged to qualified applicants, who "must pay the fees as required by the provisional admission letter issued by NTU", and admission documents are only released after all required fees are cleared. Note that the separate 2026 Chinese Language Program guide states a different fee of CNY 300 per person for that non-degree programme.
University application fees typically range CNY 400-800; a few universities charge none, and a few waive it for CSC awardees. The CSC portal itself is always free.
