Programme details
Two non-degree routes delivered at the BIT Zhuhai campus: a preparatory Pre-University Program (one to two semesters, Chinese- or English-taught, Science & Engineering or Liberal Arts/Business stream, certificate of completion issued by BIT Zhuhai) and a Chinese Language Program (one semester or one year). Not degree admission and not a CSC route.. BIT's 2027 international student admissions guide for the Zhuhai campus, published on the university's international students site on 14 October 2026, prints both application windows with an explicit opening day: 2027 Spring Intake: October 1, 2026 – January 9, 2027; 2027 Fall Intake: October 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027. Eligibility: a non-Chinese citizen holding a valid foreign passport; age 18–24 for the Pre-University Program and 18–35 for the Chinese Language Program; graduates of senior high school or above; good physical and mental health. Language thresholds as printed for Pre-University applicants: Chinese-taught HSK 4 for the one-semester programme and HSK 3 for the one-year programme; English-taught IELTS ≥6.0, TOEFL ≥85 or Duolingo ≥110, or another certificate recognised by BIT, with native English speakers exempt. Published fees (RMB): application fee 500, paid online after passing the preliminary review; Pre-University tuition 15,000 per semester or 30,000 per academic year; Chinese Language Program tuition 10,000 per semester or 20,000 per academic year; accommodation 700 per person per month (triple room) or 500 (quad room), with the one-semester (4-month) programme at 2,000 per person and the one-year (10-month) programme at 5,000 per person in a quad room, payable in one lump sum at the beginning of the semester; insurance 400–900 per semester for the Pre-University Program and 800–1,800 per academic year for the Chinese Language Program; residence permit 400 per year. The guide states a class opens only if at least 15 students enrol. Application materials include the passport photo page, a white-background ID photo, the highest degree certificate and transcript, a Personal Statement/Study Plan on the BIT Zhuhai template, the Physical Examination Record for Foreigner, a police clearance certificate, proof of financial support and any other documents; applicants under 18 add the campus's under-18 materials. The guide names no Chinese Government Scholarship route, so no CSC-host implication attaches to this window. The application platform at applyisc.bitzh.edu.cn and the download section at gsc.bitzh.edu.cn both returned HTTP 000 from this network on 15 October 2026 and were not tested; live acceptance therefore rests on the guide's published opening day, not on portal confirmation. The guide's PDF is image-only, so these fields were read from the published page images rather than by text extraction.
