University and provincial award availability beyond the dated calls remains unverified; do not treat generic CSC guidance as proof of a 2027/28 route.
For China Academy of Art, refer to the current official admissions notice for opening and closing dates by program and intake. Dates from a previous intake should not be used as the next intake's deadline. Directory-wide opening checks were last completed September 14, 2026.
Fee note: CAA publishes an application fee explicitly and separately from tuition: '申请费:人民币800元/次,无论录取与否,不予退还' in the 2026 Chinese-taught bachelor's guide (CNY 800 per application, non-refundable whether or not the applicant is admitted); the master's and doctoral guides state the same figure as '申请费:人民币800元/次,一经提交,不予退还' (non-refundable once submitted). A scanned copy of the bank-transfer receipt must be uploaded with the application ('申请费转账凭证'). The CSC Category B notice repeats the amount with the university's bank details: '报名费800元人民币,请汇款至中国美术学院账号,详情为开户名:中国美术学院,账号:1202024409014432078,银行名称:中国工商银行湖滨支行'. TUITION IS NOT THE APPLICATION FEE and must not be recorded as one: tuition is quoted per 学年 (academic year) — bachelor's RMB 52,000 per academic year, master's RMB 60,000 per academic year, doctoral RMB 68,000 per academic year — and the degree-programme guides state that tuition is inclusive of comprehensive insurance (the bachelor's guide writes '学费(含综合保险1000元/年/生):人民币52000元/学年/生'). Refundability: the tuition-information page refunds 50% of tuition if the student withdraws before registration and 70% if within 7 days of term start, but states no refund for the application fee, while the bachelor's guide states the application fee is non-refundable under all outcomes.

Read the university's procedure- 1
Choose your program and intake
Check China Academy of Art's current prospectus for your degree, teaching language, eligibility and deadline. Arrange supervisor contact or pre-admission first when the program requires it.
Read official admission instructions - 2
Prepare your documents
Use the checklist below, then compare it with your program's required documents. Prepare any signed forms, translations and referee submissions before starting the final application.
- 3
Complete the university application
Use the official application link and complete the fields required for your route. Submit documents only through the channel and at the stage stated in the current notice. Pay a charge only when instructed; retain any submission confirmation the system provides.
- 4
Review your offer and costs
Check tuition, accommodation, insurance, payment deadlines and any financial-guarantee requirement. Accept the offer through the university's stated process. A CSC application is not part of a purely self-funded route.
- 5
Track decisions and respond to requests
Check your portal and email for missing-document requests, interviews and results. If a form is returned, correct it and resubmit. Keep admission and scholarship decisions separate; follow the final offer for acceptance, registration and original-document checks.

Document checklist and upload instructions
Use the document list for your exact program. Prepare these common items, then add any scholarship-specific forms:
- Identity: passport information page and photograph. Copy your name, birth date and passport number exactly into each application.
- Education: diploma or official expected-graduation certificate, transcripts and any required degree authentication. Include the original language and certified translations where requested.
- Language: the required HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or accepted alternative. A medium-of-instruction letter replaces a test only if the program allows it.
- Academic materials: study plan or research proposal; graduate recommendation letters; supervisor or pre-admission letter when required. Some systems send referees a private submission link.
- Additional requirements: CSCA results for applicable undergraduate routes; portfolio for relevant arts programs; medical form, police clearance, financial guarantee or guardian documents when listed. Check validity periods before arranging time-sensitive documents.
Scan each complete document clearly. Use the file type and size limit shown beside its upload field; combine multi-page documents only where the system permits. Open every uploaded file to check legibility, page order, signatures and stamps. Keep a copy of everything you submit.
Application templatesHow to fill the university application
Follow the submission method in your programme's notice. The steps below apply when it requires an online form; email and paper applications follow their separate source-linked instructions above.
- Open the university link for your degree level. On an admissions website, find the international-student application entry, then register or sign in. Button names vary between systems.
- Choose the correct entry year, degree, teaching language and program. Read its requirements before selecting your funding option.
- Enter personal information as it appears in your passport. List education and employment dates accurately, and enter a reliable email address.
- Complete the study plan and referee fields. Upload each document to its matching slot; enter a CSC application number only if your route asks for one.
- Preview the whole application. Follow the fee instructions, submit the form and check that the system acknowledges submission. Saving a draft does not submit it.
How to fill the CSC application
- Open the CSC portal below and register or sign in. Complete your personal details before starting the scholarship application.
- Select the application category specified in the current scholarship call. Type A commonly uses a dispatching authority and Type B a university; confirm the exact category and agency number in that route's current notice and check the receiving institution displayed by the system.
- Select the degree category, teaching language, major and study period specified by the eligible program. Keep these consistent with your university application.
- Upload the requested documents, review all fields and submit. Download the completed application form; sign and upload it to the university or dispatching-authority system when instructed.
- Save your application number and a copy of the submitted form. If you withdraw to edit, submit again before the deadline and tell the receiving office if it already began reviewing your application.
University agency number on record: 10355. For Type B, match it to China Academy of Art in CSC. Type A uses your dispatching authority's number instead.

Official websiteChina Academy of Art CSC scholarship FAQ
Does China Academy of Art accept CSC Type B applications?
China Academy of Art appears in our directory based on prior CSC host or program evidence. For 2027-2028 Type B participation, consult the university's current international-admissions notice and confirm the application channel and Agency Number before applying.
Is the CSC scholarship at China Academy of Art fully funded?
A full Chinese Government Scholarship normally covers tuition, accommodation or a housing subsidy, medical insurance, and a monthly stipend. That does not prove China Academy of Art will offer a full Type B award in 2027-2028: some routes are partial or unavailable, so confirm the current notice and your final award letter.
What is the application deadline for China Academy of Art?
The latest official information checked September 15, 2026 says: All dated 2026 degree-application windows are closed. Chinese-taught bachelor's registration closed 30 April 2026; Chinese-taught master's was extended through 28 February 2026; Chinese-taught doctoral admission originally closed 1 March and was extended through 1 May 2026; English-taught doctoral admission closed 20 June 2026. The 2026 CSC High-Level Postgraduate deadline was 28 February; Type B agency number 10355 applies to that route. Category A deadlines are set by each applicant's country. No 2027 intake notice was found as of 2 October 2026. University and provincial award availability beyond the dated calls remains unverified; do not treat generic CSC guidance as proof of a 2027/28 route. Check the current notice for your degree, route, and intake before applying.
What can I study at China Academy of Art on a CSC scholarship?
Fields listed for China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, Zhejiang include School of Chinese Painting, School of Design & Innovation, School of Architecture, School of Sculpture and Public Art. If its current CSC notice confirms your degree level and subject, use the official program catalogue to check the teaching language and identify a suitable supervisor.
Does China Academy of Art charge an application fee?
CAA publishes an application fee explicitly and separately from tuition: '申请费:人民币800元/次,无论录取与否,不予退还' in the 2026 Chinese-taught bachelor's guide (CNY 800 per application, non-refundable whether or not the applicant is admitted); the master's and doctoral guides state the same figure as '申请费:人民币800元/次,一经提交,不予退还' (non-refundable once submitted).
