Hangzhou Normal University Scholarships 2026

Hangzhou Normal University's scholarship directory lists six routes: the Chinese Government Scholarship University Program, the Chinese Government Scholarship Bilateral Program, the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship, the Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship, the Hangzhou Municipal Government Scholarship and HZNU's own international-student scholarship (official scholarship directory).

These routes do not share one applicant group, application channel or award package. Start with the Hangzhou Normal University profile, then open the dated notice for your degree and scholarship. A general scholarship page is not a substitute for the current intake notice.

The main 2026 degree windows are closed. HZNU accepted its general undergraduate and postgraduate applications from March 9 to June 30, 2026. Its 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship University Program used an April 30 deadline (undergraduate guide; postgraduate guide; CSC University Program notice). Those dates had passed by September 16, 2026.

The Bilateral Program page gives an early-January to early-April general period, but tells applicants to obtain the exact deadline from their home-country dispatching authority. HZNU does not directly accept that route (official Bilateral Program page). None of these pages establishes a 2027 degree deadline.

HZNU's detailed 2026 notice set out a master's route using institutional code 10346. Applicants had to complete the CSC online application and the HZNU online application. The agency-number guide explains why the code and Program Category must come from the current route notice, while the CSC application-form guide covers the separate form fields.

The award covered tuition, on-campus accommodation, a living allowance under the applicable CSC standard and comprehensive medical insurance. The notice required a bachelor's degree, an age of 18 to 35 and HSK 5 with at least 180 points for Chinese-taught study. HZNU reviewed candidates before sending its proposed list to CSC for approval (official 2026 CSC notice). University review did not guarantee CSC approval.

HZNU's scholarship page lists a postgraduate Type A award with tuition support, plus a living allowance of CNY 1,500 per month for master's students and CNY 2,000 per month for doctoral students, paid for 10 months each year. It lists undergraduate Type B and Type C awards of CNY 20,000 and CNY 10,000 per year, respectively (HZNU scholarship page).

The 2026 undergraduate admissions guide calls the CNY 20,000 first-year award "Type A," while the scholarship page calls the CNY 20,000 undergraduate award "Type B." Because the university's own pages use different labels, applicants should confirm the controlling scholarship name in the current portal or with HZNU admissions. The admissions guides also state that the CNY 400 application fee was due within one week after pre-admission, not before review (2026 undergraduate guide; 2026 postgraduate guide).

HZNU's Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship page lists CNY 30,000 per year for master's students and CNY 20,000 per year for undergraduates. It says applications are handled in October under the provincial education notice, the award is reviewed annually and recipients cannot hold another scholarship at the same time (official Zhejiang scholarship page). This is not evidence of a new-student deadline for a future intake.

The general Hangzhou Municipal Government Scholarship page lists postgraduate, undergraduate and non-degree categories, but its English section still displays a 2022 deadline. A separate May 2026 notice concerned a Type D award for long-term language students already studying in China by April 30, 2026; it excluded exchange students and students holding another government scholarship (general municipal page; 2026 Type D notice). Do not reuse either page as a current new-applicant deadline without a fresh notice.

Yes. HZNU's 2026 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship notice covered a bachelor's program in International Chinese Language Education, one-year study and one-semester study. It published program-specific HSK and HSKK requirements and stated that the award covered tuition, accommodation, a living allowance except for four-week study and comprehensive medical insurance (official 2026 language-teacher notice).

The May 15, 2026 deadline for September 2026 entry has passed. The same notice gives October 31, 2026 as the deadline for the one-semester program beginning in March 2027. Applicants need a recommending institution and must use the scholarship system named in that notice. This route is separate from HZNU's CSC University Program and university scholarship.

Find the new dated HZNU notice and match it to your degree and scholarship. Confirm the application window, eligible programs, teaching language, age and academic rules, required portals, agency number if applicable, scholarship label, coverage, application-fee timing, documents, annual-review conditions and whether another award can be held at the same time. Do not forecast a 2027 deadline from the completed 2026 cycle.
