Ningbo University Scholarships: 2026 Checks

Ningbo University's central international-student page currently lists Chinese Government Scholarship routes, the Zhejiang Government Scholarship, Ningbo Government Scholarship, and Ningbo University Scholarship (NBU international admissions). It also links applicants to the university's international admissions site and application system.

That page still refers to the 2019/20 program catalogue, so it confirms the scholarship names and official contact channel, not a 2026 award window or benefit table. Start with the current Ningbo University profile, then require a route-specific notice for your intended intake before treating a scholarship as open.

The official sources checked on September 13, 2026 do not provide one central 2026 scholarship call for all new international applicants. Ningbo University is publishing current international program material: its School of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics posted a 2026 international undergraduate program and a 2026 mechanics PhD program. Those program pages do not announce a scholarship deadline or promise funding.

The freshest detailed scholarship notice found is the Law School's October 2025 evaluation for continuing self-funded international students. It explicitly excluded Fall 2025 freshmen and used an internal school review (NBU 2025 continuing-student notice). Do not copy its October 22, 2025 deadline, quotas, or award amounts into a new-student application.

Ningbo University's official CSC page describes a Chinese University Program for master's and doctoral applicants. It gives Type B and agency number 11646, along with the standard full-scholarship components (NBU CSC page). The page is undated, and the current NBU admissions homepage does not display a 2026 Type B call. Treat it as route background, not proof that every degree is accepting CSC applications now.

The current CSC applicant guide says a Type B agency number is linked to one host university and that an incorrect number prevents that university from processing the application (CampusChina application guide). Confirm the number, eligible degrees, university deadline, and whether a separate NBU submission is required in the current call before submitting. The agency-number guide explains this check.

They are separate awards. Ningbo University's official microsite has distinct pages for the Zhejiang Government Scholarship, Ningbo Government Scholarship, and Ningbo University Scholarship. Those pages are undated and should not be used as current 2026 deadline or coverage notices.

The 2025 continuing-student notice provides a recent example of local administration. It offered Zhejiang, Ningbo municipal, and NBU Distinguished International Students awards through one review, allowed an applicant to choose only one of those three, and excluded students already holding CSC or International Chinese Language Teachers funding. Use the route named in the current notice. Ningbo University's main international admissions page points applicants to its official admissions site, which links to the university application system (NBU admissions channel). The university's scholarship application page also describes an online NBU submission and status check, but its wording and document-delivery steps are older and should be confirmed before use (NBU scholarship application page).

For CSC Type B, a current call may require both the CSC system and NBU's system. For local awards, the application may sit inside the admission file or follow a later internal review. The 2025 continuing-student notice required both an online application and hard copies submitted through the student's school. Do not assume that selecting a scholarship name in one portal completes every required submission.

Ask for or download the notice for your exact intake, degree, and applicant type. Confirm whether it covers new applicants or continuing students, eligible programs, teaching language, age and academic rules, required CSC or NBU portals, agency number, documents, application fee, deadline, award components, duration, renewal conditions, result channel, and restrictions on other funding.

Use dates only from that notice. The current NBU program pages establish that specific 2026 international programs exist, but they do not establish scholarship eligibility. The continuing-student notice establishes a recent internal award process, but it does not establish freshman rules. If the public pages conflict, use the contact details on NBU's official international admissions page and keep the written reply with your application records.

Check the page date, applicant group, intake, and program before relying on any amount or deadline. A live university page can still contain an old cycle. Save the current notice and application receipt, and take a screenshot of the submitted scholarship route and agency number. Do not pay an agent for a guaranteed award, and do not treat admission, pre-admission, or a portal status as proof of scholarship funding.
